"I honestly don't want to be here another second. Is there an exit?"

Balloon walked over to Tree and Lollypop, attempting to join their conversation. "Sadly not."

"Oh my! Balloon! You scared me! Haha." He patted Balloon, making him smile.

I've finally been accepted as a friend....

Meanwhile, Silver had come back from his ~~daily two-hour walk~~ to see all the chaos spiraling around him. "What is this nonsense!" He couldn't help but exclaim it out loud. "I was gone for barley any time!"

Silver fumbled nervously after hearing this news. Team choosing was the most important part... he needed to get on a good team if he wanted any chance of winning.

"Last season was much too complicated." he thought. "The drama with The Thinkers and Loony Balloonies was already too much. And with Candle-"

"No."

This time it's going to be different, and he knew it. This time, he was determined not to let anything get in his way... right?

MePhone smiled and held a cookie in his hand. He bit into it whilst Balloon nervously fidgeted.
"Okay! If I call your name, you are on Team 1! So, Maple Leaf, Mizuki, Silver Spoon, The Rivulet, Lollipop, Fishsticks, Rika, Tree, Taco, you all are in Team 1! Balloon, Astraea, Clay, Annie, Rocky, Fan, Flower, Ronk, Renegade, you all are in Team 2!

As they were the first mentioned for each team, Balloon and Maple Leaf are the team captains!"

Balloon froze. No one who likes me is on this team! They'll all hate me!
"Hello guys..." He nervously fidgeted and blinked. Fan glanced over and smiled. "Hello Balloon! I think we're going to have a great time!"

"Alright, where's the rest of my team? I want to hold a quick team meeting," said Maple Leaf looking around. She spotted Silver standing away from everybody else and walked up to him. "Well hello there," said Maple Leaf scaring Silver. "Your on my team...sadly...I need you for a minute to discuss some things."

Silver rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "And why should I do that?"

Maple Leaf thought for a minute before replying. "Fine. If you help me get everybody on our team, I'll tell Taco to stop scaring you, and maybe I'll be your ally."

Silver thought for a moment before finally agreeing. "Alright," he said hesitantly. "However, if anything goes wrong, don't be surprised I switch..."

Maple Leaf nodded in agreement and stuck out her hand to shake. Silver paused for a moment but relucently shook it back.

Tree and Lolly shared exhausted looks. "Great. Our friends are on the other team. Now what, Lolly?"

"They exhaust me."

Tree sighed and looked at Balloon. "He seems scared. If we weren't his friend, we could have used that to our advantage."

"Tree, we have to break out friendship. Do it...or you'll get voted out." She shrugged. "Your choice."

"Fine."

Balloon glanced over and waved.

Tree smiled back.
