While in the embrace, she pushed his head to rest against her, kissing his forehead. "If you're ever feeling lost, Scaramouche... I hope you'll think of me. I'm your mother, after all. Your guardian angel." She chuckled quietly, bringing one of her hands up to his hair, petting him. "And I'll always be there to guide you."

Mercy gasped slightly. He hugged her back...? The gesture was much needed, he might've been able to tell how much she relaxed from it. Though, she let go eventually, and tried to change the subject. "So, about these different colored strands of hair... I noticed they sort of glow when you use a lot of your power. How did you get them?"

“If I could I wouldnt even go near them with a 100-foot pole- you think they’re pleasant to be around” Also they were absolutely terrifying. Also he killed Mei in a foreign world. That was a pretty good reason why they wouldnt be liking him right now.
