Lucky slowly lets go of the tree limb she was holding on to and plops onto Maci's head, though she shows no signs of aggression. Rather she was calm, the tentacles lightly feeling Maci's face as if to memorize it.

"Oh um?" Maci turns her head slightly. She glances up at Lucky, although obviously, she doesn't really fully see her. "Hi there? Whatcha doing?" She shifts slightly, being uncomfortable from standing in place so long while holding Alana.

Lifei chuckles, pulling Zahara back into their cave, suddenly emerging out of nowhere “I got Echo to cloak, well, disguise this area. If you go too far you’ll never be able to return. You won’t find this area.” She narrowly avoids Zahara’s swinging axe. “Calm down, it’s just me” Lifei leads Zahara back to their cave, stopping short when she hears noises. “It must be the other group. Meya got hurt back there, but Phenix and Maci...” she pauses, listening for sounds “— and probably as few others too. They’re handling it”

Phenix turned and continued on his way once the Octoling had stood down, his steps quick but heavy. Removing the phoenix charm from his collar, he held in in his left hand, squeezing tightly. He felt it dig into his skin, only thinking it kept him anchored to his sanity. Alana would not die. She would be kept alive. He had promised that. But some part of him blamed Sedric for everything. His sister, Alana, the trap.. He wanted that part to stop, but he also wanted it to swell, to hunt down Sedric for him and hold the man down as he boke the man's spirit. He hated the idea, but delighted in the suffering that he though Sedric might go through. Scowling, he allowed his feet to carry him further into the woods.

Alana woke up sometime later, she felt heavy and slow and really tired. Opening her eyes she looked around for Phenix, when she couldn't find him she sat up a little.

Zahara relaxes once she realizes that she wasn't about to be attacked. She allows Lifei to lead her back. Her eyed narrow as she silently listens to her speak. "So they aren't a threat then? That's really good to know" she stops suddenly and turns around to face Lifei. "Where did you go?" She snaps. "You could've gotten hurt! Killed!" She bares her teeth at her, suddenly feeling enraged.
She felt herself slipping. Felt the familiar warm feeling of darkness slip around her. It made her thoughts simple, irrational. It made her feral. Was that blood she could smell in the air? Or was that her imagination? "If anything would've happened to you" she continues darkly "then I would have no other choice but to destroy every living soul in this arena. Is that really a response you want to gamble?" Zahara asks.

Maci had brought Alana back to the cave. She had urged but didn't force Meya, Lucky, and Shiloh to follow. She had been trying to make a fire when she heard movement behind her. "Hey, hey, hey, don't do that" Maci tells Alana soothingly. She gently helps Alana lay back down. "You can't afford to tear a stich and lose more blood" she explains. "Phenix will be back, he just had to leave to-" she pauses. "Hunt" she lies.

At first, Maci's words confused her, then she remembered the traps that had gone off and she started to tremble. "I almost died?" Her voice squeaked as she allowed herself to have Maci lay her down again.

Lucky had followed Maci back to camp even though she had already been there since she had been part of the alliance from the getgo. She plunked herself down by the fire and watched Maci with Alana.

There was no use lying. "Yes," Maci replies softly. "But you'll be okay. You just need to relax for now" she assures. Her eyes soften as she glances down at Alana. "Are you feeling alright? Any pain?" She asks. She tries to stay calm for Alana's sake. But she couldn't help but feel distracted. There were too many things to do. They needed food and water, but Maci wouldn't dare leave Alana's side just yet. Not only that, she was worried for Phenix. He was strong and smart, but sometimes rage could drive someone to do something stupid. She couldn't afford no, she didn't think of anyone in her alliance like that, she didn't want for him to be injured, or worse.

Lucky, seeing Alana awake walked over and sat next to the Eevee girl. "I'm really sore, funny enough I"m not that hungry," Alana answered as she looked a the Green Ocotling, before shutting her eyes again to sleep. more if possible.

Lucky looked up at Maci. "Wahmey? Tulip, ai wen-mee." Her head was tilted to the side a little as if confused. . .or maybe urging Maci to go do what she needed her to do.

"That's understandable" Maci assures Alana. "Let me know if you have any pain later." She moves back over to the fire and adds some more kindling to it. She glances over at Lucky when she talks to her. "I'm sorry, I don't understand" she tells Lucky.

Lucky pointed to the group's food stash then to her, as if trying to explain that Maci needed to take care of herself and do what she needed. Though she didn't know if she had gotten her point across.

Maci's eyes furrow slightly as she struggles to understand Lucky. Finally she nods, understanding what Lucky meant. She grabs some food and eagerly eats it. She didn't realize how hungry she was until now.

She wasn't even aware that morning had come, having made herself comfortable within her small hideout and watching over their shared campsite. Narukami only registered the passage of time when the sun rose and even then it took her well over an hour to extract herself from her hiding hole. Sometime during the daylight hours, she thought she had heard a scream but had dismissed it as a figment of her imagination. A canon hadn't gone off either so she was content to leave whatever that was alone. Shaking her hair free of dirt, she slowly crept towards their tent and entered, relieved to see that T'val was still soundly asleep.
Perhaps it was the fact that he was with his wife or he trusted the others enough to do so, but Sorrento woke up in stages, senses returning to him bit by bit. First it was his hearing and then it was the sense of touch. Slowly but surely, Sorrento dragged himself from his sleepy haze, moving carefully as to not wake anyone else up.

Star had already been up since she had been on guard duty the whole night, she was still sitting on the ground leaning against the tree above their little cave. To keep herself awake during the night, she was working on making a small knife out of a smallish rock with her water powers, several were already at her side. She spotted Sorrento slowly waking up from his sleepy haze. "Hey Sorrento, you sleep well?"

There was a moment of silence as Sorrento blinked the grogginess out of his eyes before he focused on Star. While he was grateful for the group alliance, he still couldn't bring himself to trust anyone aside from Ariel so he just gave her a tight lipped smile. "Well enough." He agreed. Narrowing his eyes slightly, he could barely make out the lines of exhaustion that ran across Star's face and he sighed. "Go rest, I'll take over watch until the other wake up." He suggested. It wouldn't do to have one of his allies out of commission due to a lack of sleep

Star nodded and set the knife she was working on aside and started to crawl into the cave when she stopped and looked at him. "Are you sure you'll be okay?"

When Sorrento nodded Star headed in to sleep, passing Ariel who was on her way out. She gave a stretch and a yawn. "Ah~ Good morning hun~"

"I'll be fine." He assured, giving Ariel a softer smile. Ducking out to sit up on top of the tree roots, he sat down with the rope wrapped around his shoulder. A trap was already being made as he twisted knots into the rope, idly working as he kept watch.

I appreciate the thought, but sometimes my psychotic nature and depression clash with each other, becoming a raging pit of emotions.
