Mare covered her mouth with her hands, to prevent herself from shrieking. "You would have given me a heart attack!" she said angrily. "If I could actually get heart attacks." she adds quietly, to herself. She shakes her head. "Hi. Do you need something?" she asks, not meaning to be rude.

Suvansh shuddered a bit. "Oh I'm sorry- I didn't mean to-" he just continued. "I um- I- I wanted to-" Why am I stuttering all of a sudden?? "Um I wanted to talk to you-" he says, but then realises that's not how you start a conversation. He starts to correct himself "Not like- um-" jeez why am I so nervous- its just another tribute- just a girl-

"I... umm..." Mare looks slightly uncomfortable. "That's... nice?" she says awkwardly. She starts edging towards the wall. "So um... hi?" she blushes. "Your Suvansh right? The one with the chari-thing?" she blurts out, mentally kicking herself for getting the name of his creature wrong.

Suvansh notes her discomfort and takes a step back. He supresses a giggle at her mention of "the chari-thing", and corrects her, "Charizard, and yes." He gives her a warm smile, and feels his cheeks heaten a bit seeing her blush. "Um so, how was your interview!?" He tries to continue the conversation.

For some reason, Mare can't think of a response. She stays quiet for a moment. "A lot of people. And a lot of talking." she mutters finally, her face reddening even more. "I don't like people. Or talking." she adds under her breath. She was very, very, very, very shy.

Suvansh listened acknowledgingly. He looks at Mare, and then starts feeling embarrassed hearing what she next says, and looks away a bit. "In that case, I should leave you be-" he says but he waits for an acknowledgement from Mare.

Mare blushes furiously. "That's not what I meant-" she exclaims, before reddening even more. She looks very much like she wants to kick herself, but manages not too. "Umm, what about you?" she asks quickly, before he has a chance to leave, and before she has a chance to embarrass herself again.

Suvansh feels his cheeks heaten more. Why did he have to be such, jumping to conclusions, and embarrassing himself- "Um- my interview- oh. Yes, um, it went fine, I guess- I mean- you saw what happened-" he couldn't keep his voice from wavering by the embarrassment. Not a moment ago he was so impressed about what he did on the stage, and now he was almost shivering-

"I heard there was a pool on the roof, you want to talk there?" she asks suddenly. Mare gulps. "Please don't say no." she repeats in her head, over and over. "That would be embarrassing." she thought. She bushes a rogue strand of hair out of her eyes and waits for his response.

"Pool- oh sure!" He answered without a second thought. Well- he could swim quite well, and he didn't suppose there would be sharks in there- then he wondered if he would even get to swim or not. He just shook away his thoughts, shot her a smile, and starting leading the way. He kept awkwardly looking back- in case she ran away suddenly or something- but he thought that would be very weird and embarrassing and that won't actually happen, but still he couldn't help himself but do so. While on the way, he nonchalantly asks, "so how does it- how does it feel being the way you are- I mean, what do you feel when you turn um, all ghosty-" he gave him a mental slap for putting it this way. Now she'd think he was a creepy weirdo- he cuts off his thoughts, awaiting a response.

Mare appears to be thinking. "Feel?" she pauses. "I don't feel anything. It's not unlike being alive. Well, semi alive. Hmmm, technically alive. Or not alive at all." she says, being generally confusing. Her hand goes pale. She brushes a light, flinching slightly when she touches the weird fire thing inside. But her hand does go through.

Suvansh notices her ability carefully. Not as for analysing it for the arena- but just out of sheer curiosity. While what she said didn't make complete sense, it was better than her lashing out at him for being all weird and awkward. "That's impressive" he remarks, not sarcastic or flattering, just honest. He ponders on being able to go through anything, anyone, anywhere. But of course, it had downsides. He remembers how she had been visited by a nurse, and how she just felt, sickly pale all the time. Though that didn't bother him, he thought it would surely bother her...mentally.

"I spend my life force on this." Mare says, as if she could read his mind. She laughs, sounding slightly bitter. "At least I can't get hurt. In a physical way. In a sense." she says, still being confusing. The comment of her spending her life force is disturbing, but she seems unbothered by it. Like she's seen her fate, and has already accepted it.

Suvansh thinks about what she just said. Expending her life force- "Then you shouldn't- you shouldn't go around doing it just for mere demonstrations, you know. Better keep it just for emergencies, just if in mortal danger-" he tried, but he knew, Mare had already come to terms with this setback. She wouldn't step away now. She was just, in a way, too used to it now, he thought. Suvansh stops in his tracks, and faces her to ask, "what's the use in having such powers, that you could just, by chance, someday consume the last of your life force? You might not be completely living, but you'll- just cease to live even partially-" he knew it was hopeless, but he just, expressed his concerns in a way.

"I'm already dead. How much worse can it get?" she asks, with a touch of uncharacteristic anger. Mare stops when he stops. "..." the bitter and pained look on her face in a combination of anger, frustration, exhaustion and defiance. She sounded hollow, and unhappy.

"If you were dead, you won't be standing here now. If you were dead, you won't be feeling, any, emotions at all now. If you were dead, you won't be talking to me right now." He turns away, not being able to see the pain in her eyes, the frustration seething in her. Why was he caring so much? It was her life, her will. Why did he have to object her own life choices? He did not, want to anger her. He did not want to oppose her for her own defiance to except the truth, the fact that she in fact was much better than dead right now, but he just couldn't help himself. He didn't know what got into him, but he just went rambling on. Finally, realising what he did, he says "I'm sorry- I shouldn't- it's your life, your rules. I shouldn't interfere-"

Mare doesn't hear the last part. She closes her eyes. "I am dead. I'm only here right now, because the doctor brought me back, because I had a job to complete." she murmurs. She continues on, sighing in relief when they finally find the pool. She collapses onto a chair and lets out a sigh of relief.

Suvansh goes to the chair nearest to her, but couldn't make himself to sit. He had messed up bad. Why did he have to ask that question in the first place, and even if he did, why did he have to counter it? And anyways, if he had to care about someone, it should be anyone but his enemy. After this meet, how could he have himself to kill her? He just- won't be able to. He thought she'd die anyways, due to her reckless use of her powers- but then something pained him when he thought so. He finally takes a seat, and apologizes again, more calmly this time. "I'm sorry, Mare." He pockets his pokeball, fidgeting with it, growing restless as time passed. He glanced up at Mare, seeing the relaxation in her face, the relief of just being able to lie down on a chair and forget everything else.

Within a few minutes, Mare has fallen asleep. The worry lines in her face disappeared. Her pale skin, looks slickly in the weird light of the area, but seems to regain some substance, like it was becoming more solid. Mare's white hair occasionally caught a breeze and blew onto her face.

Suvansh notices Mare fall asleep, and starts observing her more carefully. Her face, though still pale, seemed, more alive then before. He admired the beauty of her face, looking away once in a while, just in case she woke up suddenly. When he thought she won't be waking up soon, he decided to go take a lap in the pool, brandishing his rusty swimming skills. He goes into the locker room, and takes some tracks. He changes, and just splashes into the water straight, not realising that a lot of the water went over to Mare, which would be enough to wake her up. He proceeds to swim around, lapping gracefully, as he was tought in school.
