zenki woke up in a tall tree and jumped down "hey do you any of you
know where we are"
he also noted a shadow farther away from them
but he didn't take action as to not cause a ruckus
although when he did land he used a quake punch to soften the
impact

Oh, the person noticed her. She didn't think this far. Maggie
didn't really want to go into her human form at the moment, but it
may be the only option she had. After a moment to think she
concluded to stay in this form, but still try to approach the
person without scaring him. She gave her best friendly chirp, which
admittedly wasn't the best, and preened one of her feathers and
held it in her beak. "Not an olive branch," Maggie thought
as she approached the person, "But it will have to do."
As it edged closer, Calverus could see more of the bird -for that's
certainly what it was. The closest comparison he could make was
that in looked luke a convor, but more lithe. Of course the colors
and shaping were different as well but... It's actions were
certainly bizarre but perhaps proving of his theory that it was
sentient. Slowly he opened his mouth to speak. "Are you capable of
speech?" The words were short and concise, giving his voice a
clipped tone.
Maggie sighed mentally. "Of course it didn't work," a part
of her complained. She didn't entirely want to, but she would have
to turn into a human for easier communication. After a slight
hesitation, she nodded to the person, but then quickly flew
away.
Once she deemed herself obscured, she took a deep breath and turned
into "Not herself." She found herself too tall in this form, and
easily not as agile. But as she was in a foreign world,
communication would be more useful at this time. She went back to
the person, and with a voice almost as croaky as her bird calls she
said: "Yes, I can speak. Call me Maggie."
Calverus blinked, though the only outward sign was the yellow glow
from his eyes disappearing for a split second. His head tilted even
further in confusion, now at a rather uncomfortable angle. He
quickly straightened out, looking over the bird?human? being. Trained as a warrior, he could see how
inexperienced the being was in their own body, somewhat peculiar.
Then again they could change form, perhaps it was not that strange.
Hearing the being give him their name he nodded. "Lord Calverus."
He responded, giving her -he assumed they were female?- his name,
title included.
"Nice to meet you...Lord Calverus," she enunciated the "lord"
slowly. Normally the word lord was used more as a general term from
what she had heard, usually when depicting annoyance or
disappointment. Had she already done something wrong, or was the
word used differently here? Maggie saw the confusion that was
apparent on Calverus's face even with the mask. "It's something
that was...inherited." She tried clarifying. How was she supposed
to explain it if she didn't know why she could do it. She got it
from Shift, but he wasn't biologically related to her. She gave a
nervous laugh, the quiet cackle indistinguishable from a crow's.
"...Do you know where we are?" she asked after a bit of silence.
"I'm not from here."
The stickmin duo had decided to try and walk farther into the
forest to find Henry. Celia seemed to be the most confident, maybe
even 'over confident' about the idea of splitting off from the
pack. Charles however seemed unsure, trailing behind the former
Toppat while glancing around, the fear of a monster murdering them
in the back of his head.
Nykro looked at Lace. "Well, basically, according to my
calculations, if this isn't a normal place for us, then it must be
some place we would never have been!" Nykro looked quite proud of
himself, despite having no physical arms. "And, assuming that you
are dissimilar from people that I tend to see, then that must mean
you aren't from my own world. And since this doesn't look anything
like my world, it must be a different one that neither of us are
used to, assuming that some.. technological cat thingie named
Hikari lives here. And honestly you're anything but that. Or so I
think..."
Hikari caught sight of Charles and Celia, and looked quite
panicked. He quickly floated over, being completely unaware of the
danger to him, but however aware of the danger to them. "If you are
to wander off, you must be wary! I would not wish to see you ripped
to pieces by an accordion or shredded by a kazoo!"
Calverus watched her closely as she seemingly tested his name,
slightly growing irritated. He held onto the feeling, shoving it
deep down until he found a need for the emotion. If her ability was
inherited perhaps she was another new race discovered on the
outer-rim. It seemed like new kinds of sentients were being
discovered everyday. The force-weilder had enjoyed when the galaxy
was smaller. He gave a shake of his head to indicate that he, as
well, did not know where they were. "Truthfully I only know a small
handful of planets with wildlife like this still, but I haven't
visited them in a long while." Naboo was probably his best bet.
Part of Calverus wished they were on Alderaan. He had only visited
the planet once but it was truly a beautiful place. The various
mountains and snow brought out the green hills and tall trees.
Shaking his head he tried to focus back on the being near him.
Karlos came up to Zenki, looking rather confused at the being. He
felt like he once recognized it, but now it did not matter. "Hello?
Are you okay? Looks pretty painful to land on your fist like that."
"We need to find our friend." Celia explained as Charles stopped to
try and talk to Hikari, only to be dragged across the path. At this
point it was clear Celia was serious about finding Henry, ignoring
warning and having waaaaay too much confidence. And maybe testing
her luck too much. The young Pilot, as much as he wanted to find
Henry was worried about the safety of the former toppat
Hikari sighed, as the pencil glowed slightly. He drew a helmet for himself, and, tapping the drawing, it fit
his head perfectly. Looking at Celia, Hikari remarked, "Well, just
don't go to me saying that I didn't warn you when monsters are
chasing you down to the death. You have been warned." Hikari began
to walk away, but he stopped and looked behind him, just in case
they changed their mind. "So? You still going, or..."
Charles looked at Hikari with a worried expression. he watched
himself being dragged further away from the group while listening
to Celia call out henry's name. at last when the place they landed
was out of sight did they stop and Charles could get back on his
feet
Hikari was following the two, but then he heard something: *rustle
rustle*. Hikari felt a bit paniced, as he looked around. "We need
to get out of here... but which way is... out?" He had gotten lost.
Of course he had. But his pencil spoke up, as it pointed to the
southeast. "That way. Sense way more friendlier life forms over
there." Hikari put rocks on the dirt so it became an arrow pointed
to the southeast. Then he drew a compass, made it physical, and
planned to hand it to Charles, seeming he was the one with more
common sense. "Just in case you want to go back, go southeast," he
wrote on a sticky note, placing it on the back of the compass. "You
should probably take this- just in case you need me or anybody else
other than your other friend."
Charles took the compass and looked at the note at the back.
reading it he nodded, not before hearing Celia scream. whatever the
creature was, it gotten to her first.
Hikari was about to go, but hearing Celia's screams, he immediately
turned back to see it... Recognizing some of its features, he
quickly did a sketch with a normal pencil (not talking pencil) and
wrote what he called it by the sketch. 'Flute Beast.' He then drew (with talking pencil) a
small sword for himself. He began to charge at the beast at full
speed.
"Ah." She murmured. She couldn't quite remember, but she swore that
Earth was the only planet with life, which only helped her
assumption that she wasn't even in her own universe. "Well, I
suppose that should be our first goal." Maggie concluded. "I need
to know whether or not I slipped," she added, her already quiet
voice decrescendoed until the her last word was silent. "But I want
to say someone brought me here, I can't do that."
She shifted in her place. She was trying her best to get used to
both socializing and staying in her taller form, so even after the
few moments she did the two she already felt tired and wanted to
leave. "It'd be better if we stuck together," her
contradicting thoughts reasoned. And so Maggie stayed. "It's
better this way," she tried to reason, "I'll get used to it
quicker if I do stay."
"W-what is that?" Celia had started, stepping back from the beast.
in situations like this options were limited. there was no
helicopter or sniper to fight it with, but searching her pockets
she found a d20 dice, a rock and what looked to be the remains of
her toppat hat.
Charles grabbed a stick and stood between the flute monster and his
friend.
Calverus was slightly confused as to why the slipping part was
important, but he dismissed the thought quickly as he understood
that some beings had their own terms for their own unique
things. The masked being noted that she didn't seem to be leaving,
a commensalism, he supposed. He slowly let out a breath of air,
lightly narrowing his eyes as a familiar feeling reached out to
him. Fear drifted from the trees, his own force signature reaching
out hungrily, grabbing onto the emotion. Calverus stood up,
bringing the fear close to him. It was weak, seeing as its source
was not too close to him. He began to run in the direction the
negative emotion came from, leaving the other being without a word.
If she truly saw need to stick around she would follow.
Hikari looked angered as he ran towards the beast, as the Flute
Beast slowly approached the now stick-wielding Charles. Hikari
paniced and swung at the beast, but to no avail.
