Riptide allowed the snow to pile up on him. He continued
meditating, calming the mind. Staying out in the cold would help
him get tougher and able to withstand cold environments more. He
stayed completely still, breathing in deep, and exhaling smoothly.
He knew people were there now, but he ignored them, not wanting to
interrupt his meditation.
"A snow star? The heir to the Luminian throne?" Honestly, Winter
would have never thought of that. This not being Shimo, as he had
reminded himself, he hadn't been sure who the heir could be.
Certainly not an ice type. He looked down at it, below his paw. It
was pretty cool, but how on Earth did that explain why it had
just...appeared beside him last night?
Riptide
The snow fell around him...piling very slowly but surely.
Winter
"Oh it's a Shiny Glaceon!" Emerald said happily. "She's known as
the Snowstar Priestess! Since there isn't a royal family, that is,
Tempest has no heirs...he has chosen someone pure hearted!"
"Same goes to you," Fortem replied, as Audax nodded.
"We should probably go... the Antian District is..." Audax spoke,
before looking down at his paws. Fortem looked like he understood.
"Thanks, Remus, see you around!" With a friendly wave, he padded
away, Fortem following. Hmm... what should he do for the rest of
the day?
Clamor was almost caught of guard, but managed to spring in the air
at the last moment, dodging the attack. As he landed, he went in
for a Crunch, using his falling momentum to strengthen the attack.
Fortem + Audax
“Ah wait.” Remus caught up to them and gave them both something.
For Audax, it was payment for a few of the weeks. For Fortem, a
package that—“You’d probably enjoy this with Emerald.” Remus
winked.
Clamor
The Linoone skittered back and charged back with a Quick Attack,
this was a definite speedster
"Oh, thank you!" Fortem replied gratefully. He eyed the package
carefully, wondering what it might be. Knowing Remus, it was some
kind of party decoration, or a balloon... Well, he'd have to find
out later.
Audax replied with a thank you of his own, his eyes wide with
surprise. He wasn't expecting to be payed, but the surprise was a
welcome one. He was getting worried he wouldn't be able to pay for
his needs, even if his room cost was being taken care of. After
saying goodbye, the pair made their way safely back into Loyalist
territory. Audax had judged that Fortem was most likely a loyalist,
but possibly leaning a little neutral, due to the way he'd acted at
the fight last afternoon. "Any plans for the rest of the day?"
Audax asked the Lycanroc, who shook his head.
Though the fight looked difficult, Clamor was no slouch when it
came to speed attacks; he was a speedy electric type after all!
Besides, challenging himself is what he came here to do. Clamor
weaved around the linoone, using takedown to boost his speed as he
ran. The two collided for a bried moment, sending white sparks
flying around their portion of the arena.
Fortem didn't really pay attention to the figure... probably just
another pokemon trying to mind their own business and stay out if
sight with their head low.
Audax hesitated, turning his head to get a better view of the
pokemon, just in case.
Clamor was struck in the side by the headbutt, sending a small wave
of pain to the area. He slammed a paw into the linoone to use
discharge, making sure to not use 100% of the move's energy. After
all, this was just a practice spar, and the two of them were
fighting on the same side.
Fortem + Audax
Whatever pokemon it was...they briefly left some snowy paw prints
behind. Not within the snow, but as in there were hints of snow and
ice from their paws...
Clamor
The Linoone okce again went around with a Quick Attack, employing a
different pattern to its running
That was interesting... Audax couldn't help but be reminded of the
snow star he'd received earlier. In fact, the ice seemed to be a
familliar colour... possibly the same one, though Audax could be
wrong. "I'm going to head back to the castle," Fortem told Audax.
"Want to come?" "Acutally, I have something to investigate..." He
turned his head as the figure rounded the corner. "Sorry, I have to
go!" Fortem watched Audax run off as he, true to his word, headed
back to his home. Audax did his best to follow the trail, relieved
to find that the snow star was still in his pack (which did make it
harder to run with it's weight adding to that of the books, but no
matter). He raced up and tapped the figure on the shoulder. "Excuse
me..."
Clamor just barely dodged the quick attack, and he felt the breeze
from the speed rush over his shoulder. He tried to dodge while
figuring out the pattern. It almost looked like a dance... Clamor
used thunderwave, trying to catch the linoone by paying attention
to the pattern.
Audax
The figure had stopped outside of the Relaxation
Parlour...Emerald’s house was next to it. “Yes?” The voice was
decidedly female. They didn’t turn their head around
Clamor
The Linoone took the Thunder wave and their moves slowed
slightly...it went for another Headbutt
"This might be sort of random but..." Audax quickly pulled out the
glistening blue star. "Might you have anything to do with this?" He
tried to stay calm and collected, so no one thought the interaction
was out of the ordinary.
Clamor tried something new. He took the headbutt, but braced
himself for it, and used the power of the attack to launch himself
up in the air. Then, he dived down, using thunder wave and pinning
the linoone down to the ground.
A female, young, ice type pokemon. Audax saved the information in
his mind for later while debating what to say next. He didn't want
to pressure her into saying something she didn't want to, but at
the same time, knowledge drove him. "Take it back if it's yours,"
Audax said, finally.
If this was a real battle, Clamor would have dealed some finishing
blows. Instead, he stepped off the opposing pokemon, flicking his
tail triumphantly with a smile. Hopefully the linoone understood
that he'd like to stop sparring. He held a paw out to the pokemon
to help them back up.
Wait a minute... It took Audax less than a second to realise who
this might be. A shiny glaceon related to snow stars? There was no
one else in luminia it could be, really. Now the questions was...
"What are you doing here?" It was a good question, making clear to
her that he thought he knew who she was, while also not saying her
name in public.
Clamor grabbed his slate while his injuries were getting treated,
and thanked the linoone for the good fight. Afterwards, he padded
out of the arena, unsure of what he could or should be doing now.
"Ah." Winter nodded. He once again placed the star aside. "So, what
now? Do we just bounce on bubbles, or have you got a plan for the
day?" He was aware he'd probably get bored if he kept himself
cooped up in the bubble emporium, but he wasn't sure what to do in
this mess
Audax
“Firstly...I wanted to explore.” She puffed out her cheeks... and
looked away. Despite all the grace, and the beauty...well, she was
still young. “I’ve never been out of the castle grounds. And
secondly...I don’t feel safe in the castle.”
Clamor
There was some commotion at the Republican base...
Winter
“I thought that...maybe you wanna see how wobbly that bubble is
down there?” Emerald pointed at the giant one below them. “Then we
can see what’s going on?”
Audax wasn't expecting a run in with the Snowstar priestess.
Despite her being an evolved form of himself, an eevee, the glaceon
seemed to be just older than himself, and inexperienced too. What
had made tempest choose her to be his heir? She did seem ready to
learn more about the kingdom, which was a good sign though.
Hopefully she was a fast learner, especially in times like this.
Still, Audax was surprised. "You've never been outside the
castle...?" It was hard for him to imagine. "Well, now you get to
see what's happening first hand..." Audax would hate to see what
would happen if she was discovered by the republicans now, despite
not being a loyalist. Hopefully the priestess would understand the
troubles of neutral pokemon.
Clamor's ears perked up as he switched directions, nonchalantly
heading for the base. He sneaked inside without being seen, and
looked to see what the commotion was all about.
Riptide stayed in the snow, although he was getting a bit cold. He
continued meditating, not really caring for the snow. He wanted to
have his mind clear before he started training to get Water
Shuriken again. He ignored the two people who were in the same
place as him, as he didn’t mind their presence because they weren’t
interrupting him.
