Grandpa Sorenson called, “TIME FOR DINNER!” and went inside. Lena finished cooking and Dale went inside the house as well. Luke walks in from the garden.

Grandpa sighed. “Fine. There aren’t ticks. But I run a preserve. There are animals, and nearly all of them are poisonous or dangerous.” he said. He was really mad at Meg and Eli. “You will stay inside of the attic all of tomorrow with Eli and nothing else as punishment.” he said. “Next time you will be inside for the entire summer. Am I clear?” he asked.

Once Luke was alone with Dale, he asked, “Hey Dale? Why did you put out trays of milk outside?”

Dale said, “I do it for the bugs and hummingbirds. They love unprocessed milk.” he said. He walks away. Luke thought it was a bit suspicious. He decides to check it out later. He goes upstairs and he flips through the book.
