If it had been anyone else, it would had been biting and sarcastic, a blade wielded in defense, yet Kanata's genuine gaze and tip of his head accompanying suggested otherwise.

"You'll all be going on the air in ten." Kanata's stylist states fixing the hem of Kanata's shirt. "Just keep your head down and look good and nothing will happen to you."
A large squad of Peacekeepers started marching towards the group. "Are they ready?"
"Nearly done." Another stylist stated fixing Azrael hair.
"Good, they'll be on in five." The peacekeepers waited as the stylists finished up their assigned tribute.

"I'm not sure" Lilith replies. "From the looks of it, we are in some District, possibly thirteen" she sighs in relief at this finding. She wasn't in the arena, not even near the Capitol. She was free. "We'll be safe here, don't worry"
Eve smiled and rested her head on Lilith's chest, she was tired, despite being an AI she still had the same needs as humans. Food. Thirst. Sleep.
As the tributes in District 13 were released from the hospital loved ones of the tributes were reunited with their children/family. Eve held Lilith's hand as the two looked for their families. Lilith knew Eve had a mother and a step-father, but as the families became reunited it became clear that Eve's family hadn't made it out of Three, probably died in an attempt to escape, all that remained of Eve's family was her cat Mittens, which must've snuck on the hovercraft.
...
Lilith didn't have any family herself. Well... she had a mother, but it was only by blood. Her mom spent her days at work, only to spend the money on younger men. They all promised her love, but would later leave her when the cash flow ran dry. She hated her mother for her ignorance. Her hatred was now fueled by the anger she still held for Shiloh, which was now simmering in her heart, threatening to boil over into a dangerous release of uncharted rage. But once again, she is distracted. When Eve heard the news of her parents, she ignored her mother, who was attempting to give her a hug. Her main focus is on Eve. She carefully picks up Mittens and passes the feline over to Eve for her to hold. "Let's go" she tells Eve gently. She puts a hand on the small of her back and leads her away from the group. She can feel her mother's gaze burning into her back, she manages to ignore it.
"Lilith, who was that?" Eve asked looking back at Lilith's mother, who looked like she was ready to burst into tears from Lilith shrugging her off.
...
"Nobody of any concern" Lilith responds in an almost scary monotone. Her face was a mask, not giving away any emotion towards her mother. She leads Eve to a tree that they can sit underneath. It was quiet around here, away from everyone else. She hugs Eve, because she knows that she'll need it. "Are you doing alright?"
Eve blinked a bit. "I guess so. I wasn't too close to either of them. My mother, my dad. . .my birth dad. . .said that she left him for another man and I believed that for the longest time, but after what Mari said in the arena I can't say I blame her fully." Eve looked past Lilith and out at the sky as if the answers to her questions lied there. "They took care of me at least, but they didn't shower me with love like they did their son, my step-brother. After he died they stopped caring about me all together unless we were in public, then they gave me just enough to deflect suspicions."
Hayden waited in the area, a frown riddled his face. “I was on such a good kill streak” he pouted. He was leaned back on a wall.
Finn and Hailey were nowhere to be seen, it was ironic that they didn’t even make it back to their own district.
...
"That's a shame. They missed out on a great daughter" Lilith gives Eve an encouraging smile. "Don't worry about them you always have me and... Fulimare" it hurt to admit that. The rivalry she felt for Fulminare haven't disappeared. But Fulminare meant a lot to Eve, so she would have to learn to accept her.
They were ushred onto a stage where President Snow, now wearing all white, himself was seated in a chair behind the large Capital's seal. The tributes were told to stand on either side of the chair and to look straight into the camera in front of them. No smiling, no talking, and most importantly no resisting of any kind, if they did, their punishment would be much worse then what they'd already be facing.
A cameraman from behind was counting down from ten as the Peacekeepers with guns were standing in front of the tributes but off to the side so they weren't blocking the view.
Eve looked up at Lilith and smiled.
From District 13 everyone was up and wearing the drab gray uniforms of 13. Anyone older than 14 was automatically given the title "Soldier" and would be addressed by "Soldier *name here*" and were being trained.
Aurora and Autumn watched the large tv, as many others did, as it suddenly flickered on with the Capital seal before showing the peacekeepers and president with the taken tributes on either side of him. The president then started to speak, and Aurora had to gasp when she saw Roxy standing and looking beautiful and healthy, almost to the point of robust, so did the other tributes.
Roxy's head was dealing. So there really is a war then? Rumors had been whispered in Ten, her home district. So then what did that mean for them?

When the podcast had ended each of the tributes was put in a cell and held there for a certain time. Roxy and Shiloh were mercifully together while Melody and Kanata were paired up. The cages negated the tribute's powers for the most part, but there was enough to keep them going.
Azrael was in a cell alone with her children, they were curled in and around their mother, tired from their powers being restricted.
Melody looked up at one of the cameras, her powers didn't require much, other than her voice, as long as she had her voice she was fine.
"Probably because they think we know something about the arena coming down." Melody voiced.
