The Pidgeot flew over the hurdles, doing barrel rolls and moving side to side quickly in a zigzag pattern.

He focused as he hopped the hurdles, occasionally clipping one. He launched at the Pidgeot, using Force Palm

The pidgeot was quick to roll to the side, voiding the attack. Luckily, The hurdles ended just there, with platforms meant to be jumped across.

The force palm landed, knocking the bird up, however, the move wasn't very effective, and the Pidgeot began to speed up.

Emerald grimaced and began trying to plan his movements. He leapt towards the Pidgeot, this time with the intent to use Ice Punch

The Pidgeot ended up kicking him away with its talons at this, sending him towards a set of tunnels.

Emerald ducked through the tunnels and just tried at feasible moments to attack with Ice Punch. There weren’t many opportunities though

The ramps went up and down. The moment you reached the top of one, there was a little space between the next ramp, which would lead you straight down again.

The obstacle course was taking a turn soon. It went in a circle around the gym

The 'target' occasionally swooped down to swipe at Emerald with it's talons. However, while doing this, it left itself open to attack if it failed to hit.

Emerald eventually saw an opening to use Ice Punch...the obstacles weren't making it easy though
