Many years after what has been titled, "The End of The World," a severe flooding event that caused the entire Earth to become an ocean, humanity began to prosper again. Floating and submerged Communities appeared all over the globe, each one built differently than another. Some grew into Cities, then began specializing in skills, such as transportation and watercraft, fishing and whaling, and defense against other Communities or Cities. One City, however, grew much faster than the others, and came to be nicknamed "Atlantis." But soon after the 91st anniversary of the City's founding, it sank, just like its namesake. Upon inspection by another City, large holes were found in the flotation devices of the City. Upon reporting this, that City fell as well. Recognizing this as a threat to every other Community and City, the remaining Capitol, Avalon, sent out Representatives to each noticeable City and Community, asking for 2 to 3 volunteers to come with them. The reason is unknown.
