As the bell rang Najima gently picked up the phoenix familiar-
her familiar - and gently held the large bird as she walked
through the halls to her next class, talking softly to it. "So big
guy, I guess you'll need a name huh?" She asked him, her familiar
crooning softly in return. "Hmm, how about Shamsi? It means solar."
She asked, gaining a happy chirp in response to the name.
Most where surprised to see the girl enter the science classroom
with a grin on her face, her cosmic familiar perched on her head as
she sat down at the back of the class. Shamsi shifted as she sat
down, chirping contently as she stopped moving.
"This 'it' is a he." Najima corrected, but not unkindly. "And his
name is Shamsi! He's my familiar. I summoned him once everyone
left." She said, the bird on her head peering curiously around the
room before focusing on Clove, chirping at the girl curiously.
"Honestly I din't know what I was doing. It just kinda... happened.
It might be because my power focuses on opening a door from one
place to another, so I might have been able to reach him easier."
Cloves eyes widen with interest. "You can summon stuff?" She asks,
reaching out to softly pet Shamsi's feathers "That's really cool!"
She grins, "If I summoned my familiar it would be a mess"
"Well, I guess. My power is opening portals and passageways. And
don't say that! I'm sure you and your familiar will work together
great. I'm actually a lot more relaxed now that Shamsi's here, I'm
usually not this social." She said, the last part mostly to herself
as she paused in thought.
Clove laughs, "My power is shape shifting, or more, only shape
shifting into cats... My familiar would be a weird hybrid" she
shakes her head. "Anyway, my name's Clove, what's yours?"
"My name is Najima. Odd name, I know. It means star." She greeted
with a small grin before waving up to the phoenix on her head. "And
this dear is Shamsi. His name means solar. I thought it was fitting
for a phoenix."
"I like it" Clove says with a friendly smile
Clove stretches, her cat-instincts telling her to nap. It's taken
years of discipline to get in touch with her human instincts. She
looks around the classroom, "I wonder where the teacher is"
Najima shrugged. "Heck if I know. They should be coming soon
though." She said, picking up Shamsi and placing him in her lap,
stroking his feathers softly. "I just hope they don't mind him
being here, I really don't know how to send him back." She said
sheepishly. "Not that I really want to."
(Guys i gonna take a break from this rp for a while I feel like I
am not "connected" with this rp; maybe is because this one is
different from the last one but i will try and comeback when I have
found my center so to speak)
(I Reccomend making a student if you feel that way, teachers are
more like sub-characters. I'm sorry you don't feel connected to the
rp and I hope you come back eventually!)
Carying her bag, Professor Raven viewed the class, taking a feel of
the students energy. Feeling them pretty tired, she blinked at the
sight of an giant bird resting on a girl’s shoulder. Hello, as u already know im sure, im professor
Raven Cloakwood and I will try to teach those of you who actually
care some science. she stared longly at the girl who had
brought her familiar. Now, you know
the deal, present yourself and i will distribute the curiculum for
the class.
