Kassaini had heard what Gregeroi had said to Knox, “I’m not hallucinating. I thought I could trust you.” She huffs and hurries away from them to talk with Jack.

Iclyn fixes her hair, “I’m not a little kid dad!” She looks around for Ilyce, “Where’s mom?”

Gregeroi sights and closes his eyes when he heard her. Cursing under his breath, he scratched his head. “I just wanted to make sure she was okay...” Turning towards Knox, Greg looked at him requesting silently his help.

Kassaini looks back at Gregeroi and Knox, “They’re coming. But they’re also busy being gossips. Anyway, I had been in the forest in a strange grove, there had been two thrones. They vanished and suddenly there was a young girl. She vanished in a flurry in cold air, and I think there was some ice or something?” She shakes her head, “I figured you should know.”


Knox puts a hand on Gregeroi’s shoulder, “She’s going to be fine. She had a nasty fall as a kid and she’s always been like this, and her plan to study human psychology probably makes her on edge. But tell me, why is she so far under your skin?”

Iclyn sighs, “Mom went without me? I wanted to play with Crimson.”

Knox takes it, “Cigars? Classy, but not my style.” He hands Gregeroi the cigar and takes a cigarette out from behind his ear, “Just don’t tell Kissie about this. She’ll freak if she finds out.”

Putting the cigar back in the pouch, he lit his with a lighter before lighting knox’s. “Really? She doesn’t like smoking?” He lets out a pouch of smoke.

jack looks at her. "....flickers kid...." he said smiling. "flicker and ilyce finally have a kid, huh..." he chuckles.

“Not that she doesn’t like it, she still trying to quit. She had a habit but she’s doing better now.” Knox takes a pull, and blows the smoke into the air, “Just keep it quiet.”

Kassaini raises an eyebrow, “So you know who she was? And her parents? Magically?”

Soraya comes back into the room where Ilyce was, “Sorry about that. She’s still figuring out her magic and, well you know how it goes. You watched it happen with David and then with Iclyn. Where is your family? Still scoping out the forest to rebuild a kingdom?”

Ilyce laughs, “Yes, thats exactly right. And she’ll settle on something eventually, it just takes time. I’m sure you and Drago both know what you want her to be, and both are different. But I should get back to my own family. Thank you Raya. For all the time we spent here.” The two hug and Ilyce leaves through a fire portal to rejoin Flicker and the kids.

“A war? Here? That seems strange.” Kassaini looks at the surrounding forest, “What even is worth fighting over here?”

Iclyn hugs her mom, “Hi mom. How’s Aunt Raya and Crimson?” Ilyce kisses David and Iclyn on their foreheads, “Hello sweethearts. They’re fine.” She kisses Flicker, “Hey Flicker. I see that you haven’t said hello yet. He’s your uncle, he’ll want to see you.”

Knox joins Ryot, “So, cigars are your thing? I thought you’d be a cigarette guy like me.”

Ilyce watches the kids head off, “Jack had said he was your uncle before he died. You should meet with him and your aunt before they leave the forest again. I’ll go with you if you’re scared, moye plamya.”

“I’m rather familiar with a certain type of plant. So guns and lungs filled with smoke, what else is there about you?” Knox is looking at Ryot closely.

"i will go by my self, if you want to join you can." said flicker, walking to jack. "hey, jack."

jack hugged flicker. "my nephew!" he said smiling.

david is looking at runes, and throws one down behind him. a vampire knight stands gaurding behind him. "oh, i love dark magic..." he said chuckling.

Knox’s eyes widen in surprise before he smiles, “I can dig it. I’m actually a little jealous, I wish I had black eyes.”

Ilyce hangs back for a second letting Flicker and Jack have a moment.

Iclyn sighs and makes a giant snowflake, “Mom’s going to be mad that you’re playing with dark magic again. I can’t cover for you forever, and the vampire guards are obvious as heck.”
