Lion and Snow got on the boat, and Tiger finished looking the boat
over. He stretched and frowned. I'll be fine. It might be the
first time without Mira walking me through this, but I learnt
enough. She said it'd be fine. He thought to himself
reassuringly. Cyndaquil jumped onto Tiger's head and smiled.
“Wait!” Mel burst forward, nearly tripping over her own feet as she
skidded to a halt by the boat. “Sorry. Hi. Do you have room for two
more? Wait, can you drive this boat? I
didn’t know.” Despite having short hair, it was still poofy
and frazzled. Connor was a few steps behind her, wringing water out
of his sleeves.
Tiger nodded and glanced over to Mel for a moment. "Yeah there's
enough room." He said kindly. "Also yeah, I can. Mira taught me,
and gave me permission to take it. So long as I don't destroy it
then it'll be fine." He said gently as he barely heard the last
part.
Snow held a hand out to help Mel and Connor onto the boat. "Looks
like you both just woke up...and drown." He joked kindly.
Mel huffed playfully and pulled herself up onto the boat. “That’s
good. Hey, sometimes I think Mira’s, like, psychically connected to
this boat.” She mused, though it was mostly to herself.
Connor, on the other hand, accepted Snow’s hand and scrambled onto
the boat. “Yeah, we uh,—“
“Shh, dont say it—“
“— had a run in with a trainer with a Greninja and Pom and Riu
fainted so—“
“NooOOO—“
“— We had to ask a centipede for help and he dropped us in a pond.”
Connor finished with a flourish.
Tiger blinked and glanced at Lion who was laughing in partial
amusement. Snow on the other hand looked shocked. "Are you guys
alright?" Tiger asked kindly and blinked. "Also I wouldn't doubt
it." He said with a shake of his head.
Snow narrowed his eyes at lion and punched his shoulder.
"Sorry...thought it was funny." Lion said in amusement and
grinned.
Snow rolled his eyes. "I'm with Tiger here, are you both okay?"
“Fine. We’re fine.” Connor nodded with a faint smile. “Can’t say
the same for our new trainer buddy, but—“
“He was thrown into a tree—“ Mel chimed in, fishing out her pokedex
from her disaster of a backpack. “It was beautiful. I’ll
never take super strength for granted again.”
“Right, that. Quick question, where exactly are we going?”
Tiger glanced at Colin for a moment and sighed before looking over
to Connor. "We're going to Celadon." He said kindly.
"The rocket base there has been abandoned for seven years though,
but maybe we have a decent chance of finding something." Snow said
in a thoughtful tone.
Colin regained control of himself and took a few deep breaths,
thinking. "...Wait. It's not abandoned. There was a trainer in
there a year ago--he attacked Mira. I remember. That was the day
Tira mega evolved."
Snow froze an looked taken aback. "Arceus I hope not." He said
quietly. Tiger had stopped paying attention, he unfilled the sail
and tightened a few ropes before the boat set off.
"Either way, there's got to be some information about Mira's
location at the game corner." Tiger said thoughtfully.
Tiger glanced at Colin and offered him a small smile. "Have I told
you the story of when I first sailed with Mira?" He asked kindly in
hopes of lightening up the mood.
Tiger chuckled softly and pulled a rope back. "Alright, it happened
I believe two months ago. Mira and I were going over the basics.
She sailed us out to a decent distance from shore. I was tasked
with getting us back, all of a sudden. A dewgong appeared and
splashed the side of the boat. I was standing when a waved hit the
side."
