Clovertail looked back at Jaykit. "Well a two-leg are these weird
creatures that ride around in large beasts near the Deathstone
Pathway. Kittypets are cats that live with the two-legs. So kid,
who are your folks? Is your mom an out-of-clan?
(Is it ok if I changed up the terminology a bit? Out-of-clans are
loners, the Deathstone Pathway is the road, and I called the
two-leg monsters beasts. by the way.)
(also I think it is actually two leg and I've been putting a dash
between the words this whole time WHOOPS!)
"Well, I think that Froststar wouldn't mind a vis'ter. Just don't
let 'ol Hartroot here about you or you'll never hear the end of
it," Clovertail snickered. Clovertail looked up at Silvermoon. "How
about I go tell Froststar about Jaykit?"
Hartroot, hearing her name called, walked over. "Did somebody
summon me...?", she asked. She saw Jaykit with the others. She had
already seen Jaykit, so she was fine with that. Looking at all the
people around her though, she started going. "Listen, I may not
know how or when this kitten got here, but it's completely unsafe
to be around this kitten at the current time. Any random cat that
you find could have a variety of diseases or parasites such as
ticks. I don't need to be your mother to protect you from this it
should be simple enough. Every time Clovertail or Milofur or anyone
else puts their nose in a thorn bush they always come back to me.
It should be simple enough by know. i haven't even started on where
they came from.
Therearethetwo-legsorshecouldbeakittypetshecouldevenbeaspyfromanyotherclanyoushouldallknowbetterthanthis
*lecturing becomes illegible*. SO", Hartroot finished, "IN
CONCLUSION, you probably shouldn't be around that kitty".
"Wow, I thought that by the time you finished that lecture Jaykit
would be a warrior." Clovertail remarked "Also why do you keep
rattling on about other clans? Everyone knows that there are not,
have not, and will never be any other clans."
(if you guys forgot the flavor in the singups page says that there
are no other clans that we know of)
Froststar walked and and looked at her "Hartfoot, stop bossing
everyone around, i know it may not be safe, but silvermoon already
checked for ticks, and the poor thing would be dead if it had a
disease so lighten up, please."
Silvermoon looked at Hartroot. "She is just a kit. I couldnt just
leave her to die. I was told to bring her to Softsight who was
helping Berrypool with her birth" she said.
Jaykit tried to hide in Silvermoon's fur, not wanting to be forced
out.
Returning from where she'd been working on the warriors den,
Breezetail approached the other cats and flicked her ears
curiously. That's a kit! She thought in surprise. It
doesn't smell like a clan cat. She added as some sort of
afterthought. She paused and sat down to listen in curiously.
Berrypool looked at the new comer "Hey Breezetail! Meet Tigerkit,
Crookkit, Fogkit, Windkit, and Shorekit. I gave birth to them, and
that one over there is Jaykit, Silvermoon found her in the woods
all alone."
"Aww!" Breezetail cooed, padding towards Berrypool. She crouched
down to peer at the kits. "They're so adorable!" She gushed softly.
"Congratulations!"
Hartroot thought. Ah, I do need to lighten up, don't I?
Sometimes my brain travels in time, be it past present or even
future. Then, Hartroot remebered. "Oh right! I need to give
Berrypool's kittens the herbs". She went and collected the herbs
left in den. Coming out, she saw Berrypool with Breezetail. "Hey
Berrypool," Hartroot called, "Can I give these to your kittens real
quick?"
"Well, Lichenpaw," Milofur said. "As my mother always said,
'Taunting a bear never works out, unless you are the bear'. I hope
you take this information to heart. It's truly great". Milofur
never knows what his 'quotes' mean, though.
"Oh do I!?!" Milofur announced, "I totally prepared for what we're,
uh, doing today! We will learn to... smack birds.". Milofur gave a
smile. "Before you say anything I know what you're gonna ask- Why
are we smacking birds. The answer, my friend, is simple... It's cuz
they have terrible singing".
