"So how happy are you to be back in the lab again sis?" Max mused to Lillian who was waving at some of the assistants that she knew. "It's something. I just hope the professor doesn't expect me to stay." Lillian responded.

Oak perked up slightly at that. "I am trying to figure out why some Gastlies are shiny even though the dead pokemon they come from are not shiny."

"That could be it. The shiny gene is rather rare, with..." He started to go off on a tangent about how shinies are more common with certain typings, HVs, IVs, and their parents.

Mira very discreetly started playing a game on her pokedex while he was talking, nodding every so often and acting like she was taking notes (even though she was listening).
