"we get along. He was still fairly young when I met him" Tiger replied and let the Charmander out. Dusk then came out of the Pokéball and looked at the others.

"Aww," Mel squeaked, looking at the shiny Charmander. "Has he used any fire type moves on you?" She asked, remembering her neighbors Pignite (It had burnt their yard at one point, and in the process of doing so, knocked Riu out).

Tiger shook his head "no he knows Ember, but he won't use it on me" he said kindly. Dusk hid behind Tiger's leg shyly.

Tiger nodded "yeah he's very shy" he said softly and looked at Dusk. Cyndaquil then pushed Dusk gently towards Riu.

Riu flicked his tail and looked at Dusk curiously. "Hello," He offered awkwardly.

"Seems it." Mel smiled and nodded. "I'm sure he'll get over it eventually." She added cheerfully, remembering how quickly her neighbor's Pignite had changed.

Dusk was about to hide behind Cyndaquil when the mouse Pokémon sighed, and pushed Dusk again. "Hello" Dusk said quietly.

Tiger nodded "I think it's because he was injured when I found him" he said quietly.

Mel winced. "That's awful. Do you know what happened?" She asked gently.

"I'm Riu. It's nice to meet you." Riu said softly with a small smile.

"There was a few Pokémon who attacked him when he hatched." Tiger said with a sigh. "I guess they never seen a shiny before, that or they didn't like him much..."

"I'm Dusk" Dusk replied unsurely Cyndaquil whispered something to the Pokémon, and Dusk went towards Riu slowly.

"Yikes." Mel flinched. "That's terrible. Did you ever find the Pokémon who did it?" She asked, crossing her arms deftly.

Riu froze and didn't move, not wanting to scare the shiny Charmander.

"Well I was in Elm's lab when he hatched. There was a Riolu, and a Politoad who attacked him. Cyndaquil and I broke up the fight" Tiger replied sadly and glanced at the Charmander.

Dusk looked at Riu he then slowly climbed onto the Pokémon.

Mel nodded and looked at the Pokémon. "That's terrible. At least he's okay now. Maybe not mentally, but.." She shrugged and spotted Angel. "Oh, I guess we aren't too far. Hi Angel!" She called, waving cheerfully.

Riu tilted his head slightly, a silent confirmation of safety. He glanced at Angel as well.

Tiger looked over to Angel and nodded a greeting. Dusk then looked at Angel and sat on Riu's head. He kept the tail flame away from the Pokémon as best he could.
