"Good. And, ah, just tired. Thank you, Anna." Asriel would never willingly as for help if he could avoid it, but it was nice to have someone help support him, even if it's just a little.

"Good. This means that we are all accounted for. Let's move." Nova said again, leading the group down a series of twisting, dark tunnels.


"Gah. I'm... fine. I can walk. Thank you for your concern Raven." Tallen waved her off, standing and limping slightly. "Those Quills... we must capture them. As soon as possible." He said bitterly, spitting on the floor as he said their name.

Jonathan sat on a bench shaking. He couldn't do thing. They were gone. The arrow didn't hit Asriel. Time to relax. You should have hit him. The head would have been better. No. It is good he got away. Is it? Your job could be on the line. So? We didn't become a murdered. They could kill you for it.

"I actually call myself Septendecim as seventeen is my favorite number. Septen is just a lot quicker." he explained smiling a bit as he pulled out a flask and took a drink.

The hall the group were walking down suddenly opened into an underground room, beautiful etchings of balerias (baisically hippocampi but can fly) and dragons and all sorts of other mythical beasts carved into the wall and inlayed with jewels. Nova suddenly turned and sealed the entrance with a word "Castio. Now. I bet you one of you at leat once has wondered why we saved you. Was it from the goodness of our hearts? No. We saved you from the Inquisition because you have powers. Powers that can be used for many things. We are The Quills, a group of Defermane that have banded together that works to overthrow the current royalty and the Inquisition, and restore Defermana equality. You have already met Hazel," Nova explained, gesturing to Asriel, then Anna, "and that is the Alchemist, but you are to refer to me as The Lady, or simply Lady. My maid, Stella, will escort you to your rooms. We will visit you one at a time to assess your powers."

Anna set Asriel down carefully, and narrowed her eyes, speaking directly to Septen. "Watch your words, child. You do not know so you are speaking to." She scolded him, but Nova held up a halting hand to her. "The boy has spunk, I'll give him that. But let him speak his mind."

"Forgive me for my rudeness but who questioned the inquisition when they were made? Not saying you guys are like them, but it is still a legitimate question. There are fates far worse than death and for all I know you have those in store for us. And you ma'am prove my point in away. The wording and tone almost match the inquisition." Septen replied.
