"I heard a sound out there. Sounds like crying... Screw it. I'm
going out there to see what's wrong." Eclipse ran towards the
exit of the cave, trying to find where the crying was.
Mia screamed, terrified of the creature that picked her up. She
tried to struggle free, crying all the while. "Let..go!" Mia said.
She didn't know many words, but those were some of the few she
knew.
Erin silently watched the others leave the cave. She tapped the
napping Buizel next to her with the tip of her claw, causing him to
groan. "Alex, stop sleeping. We should go too."
He abruptly got up, but didn't have time to mentally prepare before
Erin grabbed him and headed for the exit.
They extended their arm all the way over to their back, and gave it
to Haxorus.
"Its a Cleffa!" Haxorus said, grabbing her. A few eyes all stared
at her, along with their other arm, which had a Pansear head. "A
Shiny one!" It said.
"Is it lost?" The tongue Swalot asked, not seeing anything. "Most
likely." A random pink mouth said.
Ava was watching the situation unfold, but she was by the other end
of the and decided not to move. Instead, she shouted, her echoes
resonating to the entrance. "Hey, hey, no one hurts the big Muk,
okay? Just a reminder that we trust the big guy. And I can't see
what that pile of ooze picked up, God
this cave is so dark, but whatever it is, maybe get it out
of its hands before some other arm decides to pull it in and add it
to its pile of grime. Could be important."
Soon after, crying ensured from two sources, and Ava was now beyond
annoyed. She got up from her comfortable sitting position with a
grunt and walked towards the Muk. Upon seeing it was holding a
child, she tapped one of its arms. "Hey, Muk? If you would be so
kind, drop the kid. It'll stop crying."
As Eclispse ran in the field, she realized all the pretty flowers
were now covered in goop. "Well, I regret this already. What is
this stuff?" She muttered. "No turning back now." She continued
walking through the now destroyed field. "Wait, what's that thing
up ahead? I'm gonna look and probably regret it as well."
Suddenly, someone else approached. Muk opened his mouht. "Uh,
alright." Swalot tongue said, and shouted. "Haxorus, put her
down!"
"Oh gee. Alright!" He wasn't anywhere near the ground, so he just
dropped her and the other arms putted her on the ground. "Byee!" A
nearby mouth told her before putting her down.
As soon as Mia was on the ground, she ran off, still crying. She
couldn't stop. Something about that encounter just shook her. She
slowly got tired and stopped running. She saw a Togepi and another
Pokemon nearby, and was afraid of them too.
As Eclipse was running, she spotted something. "A worn out
scarf. I like it. I guess I'll keep it?" She held the scarf in
her mouth, and looked over at the Muk. "And who are you?" She said,
her voice muffled by the scarf.
Leli and Oscar could hear the talking
of Pierre, Mystique, and another Pokemon. The third appeared to be
a horned Arcanine with the pelt colours of a Houndoom. "So it's
agreed? You'll bring me the Umbreon?" the Arcanine growled.
Mystique nodded, but Pierre looked uneasy. "We're being watched, is
that what you wish to convey?"
"How'd you-"
"I have my ways, Furfrou. Umbreon, Liepard, come here."
Leli and Oscar looked uneasily at each other but walked up there.
Leli's magnetic fur was puffing up with fear, while Oscar kept his
cool. "If you die, I'm hosting your funeral."
"Thanks Oscar." The two reached the large Arcanine-Houndoom thing.
Leli's fur was now fluffed toward the canine. Oscar got a good look
at his necklace. Magnetic stones? Of course, Mystique must've
told him that Leli's a steel-type. And that when her fur puffs up,
she becomes magnetic. The Liepard flattened his ears back,
hissing lowly.
"Ain't this precious, two kids interacting with each other. I
assumed they'd hug, though." Ava let out a sigh and pouted as
the Cleffa curled up in a ball after crying. "This is a rip-off,
in every movie with kids, or at least
those I watched, I was promised cute stuff when two kids
meet for the first time and this is totally not it. I want my money
back."
"Another one?" Haxorus asked, and all the eyes looked over to
Eclipse. "I don't think we have a name." Pansear hand said. An eye
looked over to the ground. The purple ooze was clearing out.
The Mawile approached the shiny Cleffa, crouching down in order to
talk to the kid. "Hey, kiddo, it's fine, we're all friends here.
Even big guy Muk's friendly once you get to know most of it. We'll
take care of you. It's alright to be scared, I mean, I'd be scared
too if like tens of strangers just found me out there, cold and
alone. But we're here to let you know that we won't do you any
harm." She ended her statement with a smile.
Mia seemed to understand somehow, and sat up. She looked at the
Mawile, with some tears left in her eyes. "Hwarm?" She asked. She
didn't understand what that word meant.
They walked back to the flower field, where Mia runned too. He
slowly approached the conversation. "We don't mean any harm." Muk
said, with his slow and deep voice. "Its, uh, a common
misconception!" Pansear hand says. "In fact, uh, Im pretty sure
that eye is also a Cleffa! Aren't we so relatable?"
