"Telling him to chill isn't helping, guys. Lets just focus on
avoiding the asteroids." Teddy calmly states, wishing that he
brought his aspirin along. 'I thought I'd be getting away from
all of this chaos once I was in space but this is just as
bad..' He internally groans to himself.
Mira nodded and sped up a little bit, thinking again about the
smaller asteroids and steering out of the way of them. They had
reached the very top. "Well, the easy part is done," She sighed,
leaning back on her seat.
"Whatever!" Papi murmured, his mind thinking back to that image he
one time saw. The shuttle's front window was completely shattered
by a small speck of paint that had chipped off a previous shuttle.
Papi watched for more asteroids, but he wasn't really watching for
any because his mind was in another place.
"Well, when we were going up, we could see the asteroids. When
we're going down, we don't have that advantage," Mira explained.
"We could get hit from behind and not even see it coming. I'd say
we didn't have to go down, but at our trajectory, we would fly
cone-first into Jupiter."
"Welp, lets pray that she (the ship) doesn't get banged up that
bad." He says, much to the agender's horror. "Don't jinx it! Geez,
Teds, way to shook us-" She huffs.
"In other word dang if you do dang if you don't?"Lithar
mused."Agreeing with Teddy let god have mercy on our souls and if
not see ya all in either heaven or hell."
"What'd I tell you about not jinxing it?" She whines, if she were
standing she'd childishly stamp her foot. "Nice knowing y'all!" He
joked just to mess with his companion.
"Alright..." Mira sighed and started down, quickly, fingers and
toes crossed. Note to self: Write angry email to NASA for not
putting rear cameras or windows on this thing. She thought
bitterly.
"I hope we don't go straight into Jupiter! I've done too much to
die at this point!" Papi cried, his eyes burning with
determination. Papi then made sure his buckle was tight, and then
sat back, his hands tightened into fists.
"Let luck be the guide then" he said to himself, well guess he
really isn't going to get any sleep, huh. "Oh, and shouldn't you be
contacting headquarters about this, Mira?" He asked "we did just go
above the so called 'destroyed' asteroid belt"
Nyx opened her eyes at Papi's cry."What are we doing?"She asks with
a small yawn."Going downwards behind the asteroid belt."Lithar
answers."Oh.This should be fun."She muses causing Lithar to smirk
slightly.
"Um, it's not really fun? We could die? Or crash and get stranded
somewhere?" Teddy says, getting a bit peeved. He didn't think she
was taking any of this very seriously.
Papi sighed and placed his head in his hands. "Why did I let that
guy talk me into going on this expedition. I was able to just live
in my little lab with my babies and never be bothered. Now, I'm in
the middle of a so-called 'destroyed' asteroid belt and my babies
might die!"
Something tapped them from behind, making the entire ship jolt.
Mira muttered a curse under her breath and kept flying. "Computer,
assess the damage," She commanded.
Nyx looked back at Teddy."And I don't fear death neither does
Lithar.Death is just but an old friend."She says with a straight
face. She then turns back around. She and Lithar jerked forward
slightly as they were tapped from behind.
When the jolt happened, a cage, accidently left on the edge of the
wagon, fell. Shattering, the broken cage released two
Ornithoptera alexandraes, mainly known as the Queen
Alexandra's birdwing, the largest butterfly in the world, with a
wingspan of almost 25 centimeters. "No!" Papi cried as the two
butterflies started flying around the cockpit.
He didn't have time to respond before screeching as he felt the
whole ship jolt. "Just 'cuz you 'don't fear death' doesn't mean
that the rest of this crew wants to die. You really aren't helping
right now." He said with a slight edge to his voice. Teddy heard
Kelly make another one of her infamous, inhumane noises and he
turned to see how she was doing. "It's gonna be fine, try to focus
on your breathing." He murmured upon seeing her pale and sweaty
face.
Sirnef snickered, "well then in that case this will definitely be
fun." His mood immediately switched when they got hit, he cocked
his head backwards almost immediately, "oi, what the…this better
not be too bad…this again" he said watching the butterflies
seemingly dance around the cockpit.
