Azumaril uses Aqua Tail, while Blaze uses Swift. The moves collide, causing a small explosion. Blaze pants slightly, and Azumarill is hurt from her burn.

Cyndaquil watched the battle, and Tiger looked at the Cubone. The Pokemon was observing the battle closely.

Azumarill uses Aqua Tail again, and Blaze endures the super effective hit.
"Overheat!" Victor commands, and Blaze fires the move at Azumarill, making it faint. Blaze is now surrounded with a tornado of fire as Battle Bond kicks in.

"Go, Fang!" Soul sends out Fang. Fang looks at Scyther, determination in his eyes.

Connor realized he left something important behind in the gym, and ran to the gym. (aka cookie needed to have connor interact with someone so i'm finding a reason to put him in the same place as soul and gale)
