Blaze and Victor get angry at this Quilava. They seemed to share this angry feeling.
Blaze's blue flame marking begins to glow, and he is surrounded in a tornado of flames. Blazecharges towards the Ninja Quilava, and uses flare blitz on him.
The tornado of flames grows bigger and bigger as Blaze's anger increases.

Tiger blinked in shock and ran to Cyndaquil. I'm not weak" Cyndaquil snapped, and ran forward his glow then took in the form of a Quilava, but he stayed a Cyndaquil in the faint glow. "What in the world is up with you two" the Ninja Quilava said in shock he then got hit with Blaze, and fell down. The boy then blinked in shock "Quil stop now stand down" he said, the Quilava then backed up slightly.

The flames enveloping Blaze take the form of a flaming Typhlosion. The flaming Typhlosion attacks Quilava with a blast of white-hot flames.
Victor is standing still, his eyes flaming. His movements seemed to mirror those of Blaze.

Cyndaquil noticed Blaze. He froze as he noticed the attacking Quilava was backing off. The Quilava was then hit by Blaze he wimpered "back off I'm done" he said lowly. Cyndaquil then blinked and looked at his paws he saw light on them. "Focus..." He said lowly he then turned into a light form of Typhlosion, and stood between the ninja quilava and Blaze he was then hit with the last part of the white flames.

"No!" Blaze says, as he sees Cyndaquil being hit, and reverts to normal. Victor looks as if someone popped a balloon near his face as he is conscious once more.
"What.. happened?" He asked.

Meanwhile, in the TE HQ, a grunt returns, flying quickly on a Pidgeot. He enters Mount Silver's cave, right in front of the leader, Ron. His face was covered with a brown cloth.
"I... I saw that ability being activated..." The grunt panted. "That Quilava...has developed a bond with his trainer..."

Once the move was over Cyndaquil fell to the ground and fainted he was no longer glowing, and he was a Cyndaquil once more. "What just happened" Tiger said under his breath, and went to Cyndaquil. He then glared at the Ninja Quilava, and his trainer. "You talk about attacking innocent people, and Pokemon yet you ambush us first" he said in a low growl. The trainer froze slightly "I thought they were wild Pokemon. I was originally aiming at Cyndaquil but.." He was cut off by Tiger. "Many trainers start with Cyndaquil, totodile, and chikoritas. They come through the this forest to get to Goldenrod so I highly doubt there are any wild starters here" he said bitterly.

"Wild starters are some of the rarest things you can get. If you see a starter round here, it almost always belongs to a trainer who is preparing for a gym." Victor says in disgust.
Blaze, meanwhile is distracted. What happened just now? I just felt power surging inside me. Feeling that I just saw through the eyes of a human... I felt connected to my trainer, somehow.

"How can he? I failed with both Bayleef and Chomp, and he achieves it with only Quilava?" Ron says, as he sends out Chomp the Croconaw.
"Send out the best electric Type you have." Ron says to the grunt, who sends out a Magnezone.
"Attack Chomp the best you can. Chomp, its for the 'greater good'.

Tiger nodded in agreement with Victor the trainer then returned the Quilava. "I'm sorry. It's my first day out of the village" he said in embarrassment. "Village?" Tiger asked slightly interested. He then noticed the trainer was in a ninja like outfit.

The magnezone attacks Chomp with thunder. The Croconaw growls in pain, unable to activate his ability. "Magnezone, more." Ron commands, as Magnezone increases the charge on Chomp. The Croconaw growls, and begins to glow. The grunts around gasp.

What does that silly trainer have, which I don't?

Victor too, notices the outfit. "You seem to be from a Ninja village."

The trainer nodded "yeah you see I was tasked with ambushing my first Pokemon. Though I didn't plan for the Pokemon to be trained, one of them to have good hearing, and a strange light forme, and the other to have a battle bond" he said lowly. "Battle bond?" Tiger asked in confusion, "is that like Ash's Greninja?"

"I've heard of that Greninja. They just merge. They share vision, hearing and change form. It's called Ash-Greninja." Victor says, rather absentmindedly.
That is what happened to us!? The trainer realises. Blaze Victor look at each other's red eyes.

The trainer nodded "yes I've heard stories on it, and seen it in action on tv. It seems your Quilava has that ability" he said simply. Tiger nodded, and looked at his fainted Cyndaquil then what about Cyndaquil..?

(And he releases all his good Pokemon...like Pidgeot, Butterfree, Squirtle, charizard, Goodra, Greninja...and what ever Pokemon I missed...)

"So... is that why Blaze does not seem to have any ability? The Pokedex says that Quilava can have Blaze or Flash Fire ability, and my Quilava does not show signs of either, is that becuase he has Battle Bond?" Victor asks.

The trainer nodded "that's exactly why" he replied. Tiger nodded, and stood up. He then listens to the conversation.

(I'm trying to think of how to explain Light Typhlosion, and Typhloquil. All I can think of is Cyndaquil was born with Battle bond, but it was torn away from him when he lost his evolution ability, and he can only temporarily evolve into his light forms, or Typhloquil which happens when Dusk, and him are in sync for battling.)

(Okay... I think I'll expand Blaze's backstory to include Battle Bond from the beginning. Blaze's father was sent into Hinoarashi's group by a mysterious person, who bred to produce Blaze's egg, which was later stolen by Team Flare... *proceeds to think about more backstory..* It might also explain why Blaze will be released to become the leader of the Typhlosion Group)

"Is that why that team is after me?" Blaze asks, as he remembers the ambushes.

Croconaw evolves into feraligatr, and is briefly surrounded in a veil of water. The veil soon disappears, and the Feraligatr faints.
"You're- you're... overdoing it." The Magnezone's trainer says to Ron, recalling his Pokemon.
