Meanwhile Victor had managed to raise Horsea's level enough fir a gym battle. Volt was in best of his form, finally perfecting hyper beam, and Star was her usual speedy self. "Tiger'll be here soon..." Victor says to himself.

Tiger was near the Pokemon center when he spotted Victor. "Hey" he greeted ,and walked over.

Cyndaquil nodded a greeting to Blaze, and jumped to the ground. "Hey Blaze" he said as he stretched slightly.

Gale raised mareep's level to just below Keith's so they were ready. She looked at her mareep who was laying down after the battles. "Gosh, this is exhausting." Mareep said rolling over. "Yeah, your right." Gale responded and mareep jumped at the thought of Gale understanding her.

"Hi! How're you?" Blaze asks Cyndaquil.
Horsea is doing some target practice, and faints from exhaustion while trying to knock down rocks with dragon pulse. "Horsea, you should' rely on that move too much. It's too strong for you." Victor says, as he gives some revival herbs to the sea horse Pokemon.

"I'm fine" Cyndaquil said cheerfully "I got to level 13 in union cave" he said with a smile before looking over to Horsea slightly. Tiger walked over to Victor, and Horsea "do you need any help" he asked Victor as he looked at the small Pokemon.

"No. I think one of his parents happened to know dragon pulse, and passed the move to him. He likes to use the move a lot, but it's a bit too powerful for him. I'm trying to persuade him to use smokescreen." Victor says. Horsea wakes up, and looks at Tiger. He nods a hello to him.

"That's nice." Blaze says to Cyndaquil. Victor checks his Pokedex "Cyndaquil usually evolve into Quilava by level 14..." He says.

"Soon you'll join me!" Blaze says to Cyndaquil.

Gale and mareep walk out of route 33 and into the pokemon center. "So you really can understand me?" Mareep asks jumping onto a chair. "One-hundred percent," Gale said sitting down next to her.

Tiger nodded a greeting back at Horsea before over hearing Blaze. Cyndaquil froze, but nodded hollowly "uhh yeah..I'll...join...you" the fire mouse said back a bit quietly. Tiger then sighed slightly what will happen if I can't help Cyndaquil find some way to evolve? Will he even trust me? Tiger thought to himself before swiftly shaking the thought away.

"Now, we need a name for you," Gale said pondering. "I'll definitely be the judge of that," Mareep said looking up at Gale. "Hmm, how about..." Gale tried multiple names and mareep shook her head to all of them.

Blaze nods, and goes to Victor's other Pokemon. Horsea, and the other Pokemon are now fully healed.

Cyndaquil jumped back onto Tiger's shoulder "don't worry. I'll find a way to help you" he whispered to the Pokemon before looking at the sky. The sun had almost completely set, and the first stars were beginning to shine in the darkening sky.

"Karin," Mareep shook her head "Lily?" Another shake. "Um... how about Rachel?" Mareep thought for a moment then nodded, Gale sighed in relief.

Tiger nodded "yeah" he said softly, and looked at Cyndaquil. "I'm thinking of going into Ilex Forest to train for a bit" he replied. "You two are more than welcome to join if you wish"
