Volt looked a bit dull. "Rai-rai chu chu (I want to go back to the gym!)" The Raichu says. Victor tries to refuse, but Volt looks persistent.
"Fine, but you won't battle. I'll battle with Blaze, and Star." Victor says.
Volt looks a bit sad at that, but then decides that he could watch.

Volt goes towards the gym with speed. He tests a new move which he had been trying to learn as a Pikachu, but could not- hyper beam. The move becomes successful for the first time, and hyper beam blasted some rocks nearby.

Victor and Volt reach the Violet Gym.

Tiger stayed in the tree and thought of Kit, and Tally. I wonder how they are he thought to himself as he stayed in the tree. He then sighed and looked at Cyndaquil who was climbing the tree branches successfully.

Falkner was sitting in the gym, he watched as his birds flew around carefree. He then hears the door open as a new challenger approached.

"I'd like to challenge your gym!" Victor says, as he recalls Flare, Star, and Blaze. Volt stays beside Victor.

Gale walked back to cherrygrove finding the others "Guess we'll just have to wait" she said to Dratini as she walked to the front of the gym.

Heart walked in with Victor. Soul decided that she should watch too, so she also went in. Victor was a better trainer than Heart. Atleast he knew that he should be prepared when going into a gym.

Falkner nodded, and grabbed three pokeballs "I'll battle using these two. My Noctowl, and Pidgeot" he said and let his pokemon out.

Tiger saw Gale walk past from where he sat in the tree. He decided to stay quiet as he sat there.

Heart and Soul both went into the battle watching area. "What are you doing here." Heart says sourly to Soul.
"I'm here to watch a trainer who actually knows what he's doing. Not a trainer who just rushes in unprepared." Soul says to Heart.

Crystal heads to the office of whoever the Team Shadow leader is.

"Blaze, Heat Wave!" Victor commands, he had tutored the move onto the Cyndaquil after Overheat had failed five times in a row.

Pidgeot got hit, and was sent back from the move. "Pidgeot use a gust attack" Falkner said softly, the pokemon nodded and went in with gust attack.

Blaze was hit, and then sent flying.
"Blaze, get onto pidgeot's back!" Victor commands.
Blaze sends himself in the air by using flamethrower on the ground. He was sent towards pidgeot's back. He tries to make himself comfortable, and uses heat wave from pidgeot's back.

Pidgeot got hit with the move, and struggled to get Blaze off his back. "Fly upside down" Falkner said quickly, "do an aileron not barrel Nintendo... roll now" Falkner said. Pidgeot nodded and flew up high he then started to spin in the air.

"Blaze, Overheat, and keep confidence in yourself!" Victor now commands.

As Blaze is now upside down, he begins to fall, and while falling, he uses Overheat. The move becomes successful as it rushes towards Pidgeot, and Blaze crashes to the ground, taking immense damage.

Volt makes out pom-poms of electricity to cheer for Blaze.

Pidgeot got hit and fell down to the ground with a loud crash. He then fainted, "hmm I like your fighting technique" Falkner said kindly to Victor as he recalled Pidgeot.
