Jacky nods "That is why I respect you. I just have a bad history
with humans a elfs back where I am from." Jacky snaps a bit "I just
wish they would do their own work! Just because we are small does
not mean we are your maids and butlers!" Jacky sits down on the
ground and trys to calm down.
Draco finished sharpening Jacky's knife. He washed it off in the
bucket of water beside him and handed it back to her. "Here." he
said, giving it to her. Draco grabbed some swords from the armory
and started sharpening them as well.
Jacky laughs a little "You are not fast are you? I did tomorrow's
prep at midnight. I have my own small part in the kitchen do to my
size." Jacky grabs her knife and checks it.
Amy gave the smith her money, in exchange for the sword and sheath.
She thanked the smithy, and headed out, putting her sword into its
new sheath. She sighed happily, strolling away.
Asaca was working on her bow skills. A person-shaped target stood
before her, and the circles to aim for were on the head, neck, and
heart. She drew position, and nocked an arrow. She pulled back the
string, and aimed. Letting the string go carefully, she smiled as
it struck the neck. She repeated it, and split the arrow with
another. "Whoops..." She murmured, sighing.
Amour had lifted her dagger and blindfolded herself, pointing it at
a dummy four or five feet away. She pulled her hand back and threw
it. The dagger pierced where the dummy's heart would have been, and
she smiled contentedly, lifting her dagger back up and putting it
in the sheath on her side.
(That's fine with me, it seems like the only spot she'd really fit.
^^)
Aria wandered through the halls of the Iron Rose's kingdom. It
hadn't been very long since she joined the alliance but it felt
like she belonged. Despite the stares she stayed cheerful and
continued with her routine. Not many braved to talk to her so she
did not know many that lived in the area. She didn't know if it was
because they were wary of strangers and newcomers, or if they were
scared of her heritage. Well regardless of the reason, eventually
they would warm up to an elf in their midst.
Today she didn't wear her armour. She had left it in her room in
almost pristine condition. She had though about bringing it with
her to be cleaned but decided that it would be best to leave it for
now. But she did decide to bring her swords with her. Both were
strapped to her back, crossing about midway, and her dagger safely
hidden under her clothes. It was a long road to get here so her
blades had dulled down and she finally had a chance to sharpen them
before moving over to the combat room to get some practice in. It
was just like her sword meister had said, 'Daily exercise keeps the
mind, blade and skills sharp.' And she wasn't about to stop
now.
She opened the door to the armoury, hoping a little bit for it to
be empty but she was wrong. Inside she saw a human sharpening some
blades as well as a fairy. She hadn't seen a fairy before and
restrained herself from running over.
Draco finished sharpening the prop swords as well his own swords
and placed them back against the walls. He stood up and put the wet
stone away. He looked behind him and noticed Aria at the doorway.
Draco smiled at her, "Hello." He greeted her.
Reina looked at Asac "Just meet me in the Strategy Room by 300."
Reina said to her. Reina walked around the base, looking for the
others. She assumed that Draco was sharpening his sword as it
wasn't uncommon for him to do so. She walked into the Armory and
saw that Aria was at the doorway. Reina slipped past her and looked
at Draco. Reina's eyes widened. She was confused as to why Draco
was smiling. "He almost never smiles...." She thought.
Aria looked over, slightly surprised but smiled back cheerfully.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw someone else slip by into the
room and glanced over. It was the lady she had met not too long
ago. One of the leaders. Reina was her name. "Hello." She responded
after quite a long pause. "I hope you don't mind, I'm just here to
sharpen my swords. They quite need it."
She moved away from the doorway, hoping she hadn't blocked anyone
from coming in. Slowly she lifted both her arms over her shoulders
and pulled the two blades out. They weren't twin blades as most
people would have but rather two different ones. Both forged by an
elf back home. The hilts were adorned with dragon wings and
texture, supposedly to help give you power to win a fight. Though
it was all superstition. No one had actually seen a dragon that
still lives and those stories had soon become just that, stories.
"Not at all." Reina replied. "We have some time so we might as well
make the best out of it and prepare ourselves for whenever and
emergency surfaces." she said. Reina handed Draco her sword "Thanks
Draco." she said and walked out of the armory.
Draco looked at Aria "I can sharpen your swords, if you want. I've
been sharpening swords for quite some time now and I wouldn't mind
helping you out as well." Draco said, as he went back to picked up
the wet stone and filled up a bucket with water.
Aria nodded at Reina, not very sure as to what else to say to her.
She seemed to have this air of command around her that all she
could feel she could do is nod. She glanced back over at Draco, now
giving him her attention and smiled while saying, "Well I do know
how to do it...but if you'd like. I don't mind."
She held onto both swords for now as his hands seemed to be full
with Reina's sword at the moment. "Is there anything I can do to
help you?" She asked after a little bit longer. It seemed unfair
for him to do all the work while she stood idle and watched. Her
meister would be ashamed to see how lazy she had gotten in the
first few days.
"It's not an issue." Draco said and set Reina's sword down so he
could take Reina's sword's out of her hands. "Since you offered, I
sharpened the generic swords that some of the Knight's use instead
of carrying their own. If you could, do you mind putting them
against the wall?" Draco asked. He pointed at the pile of generic
looking iron swords that were laying on the ground in a pile. Draco
then started sharpening Aria's sword's.
