Laura looked at McKenzie and raised an eyebrow. "Um, bye." She said, walking out the door. She ignored the stares she got from strangers about her odd dog. They arrived at the woods, and Laura let Shadow free.

Luca took his eyes off of Savannah and spotted Shadow. He squinted, seeing that the animals coming for the tree weren't natural animals. He climbed higher, cursing.

Laura followed Shadow. "What do you smell? There all all sorts of smells out here, you can't always trust your nose..."
