Sitting by the lake was calming. Brightleaf coukd pretend that was all there was: the swooshing sound of the lake, the gentle buzz of the bugs, the subtle sweet smell of the water. It was beautiful.
Sittng there was peaceful and calming, and she started to doze off,MN andthe borders between being awake and dreaming were blurred

She opened her eyes to the lake, just like normal, but sitting in front if her was her favourite elder, Briarlight, who had died when she was still a kit. But Brightleaf vivdly remembered her stories of getting her legs crushed, and her journey through being healed. She was overjoyed to see her again.
"Briarlight!" she exclaimed, and she ran up and rubbed her muzzle against her. "I missed you!"
Briarlight gazed at Brightleaf warmly. "Look at you, a medicine cat." she said fondly. But suddenly her aura darkened. "Medicine cats will be needed." she said ominously, before fading away back to StarClan.

Brightleaf awoke in same spot she had been, but she awoke very confused and afraid. Deciding to tell Whitestar immadiately, she ran back to camp, and hurried herself into his den~

Unsettled by the circumstance of batting another cat she shifted uncomfortable. In a weak stance, she leapt at BlackTail, holding her teeth on BlackTail's scruff, digging it in light enough to keep a grip. She gently kicked furiously with her back paws.

Blacktail effortlessly escaped the attack. "This is training. I know you can do better. Would you really do that if you where being attacked?" Blacktail said keeping a sweet voice.
I know she can do better. Something about the way she tried to catch the thrush. Hmm...
Whitestar's right, she'll make a very good warrior, but how does he know?
He waited for his apprentice to try again.

Whitestar headed back for his den.
Maybe I should go call Brightleaf in and ask her what she meant?
No, I can't interrupt her.

Catching her breath, Brightleaf waited outside Whitestar's den for a quick moment, then she called out softly: "Whitestar?"

"Yes, there is. Or maybe there is. I don't know yet..." Brightleaf replied. She retold him everything that had happened, from her taking a breath of fresh air by the lake to VA Briarlight delivering her ominous message.
"I'm scared Whitestar- I don't know what it means! Why will we be needed?"

"I told you. I can't hurt cats." She pouted. Sighing, she leapt again, stronger then last time, she rolled Blacktail over and help a paw to Blacktail's throat. Feeling weak, she let go of BlackTail and waited for him to get up.

"You are the medicine cat. It's probably a sign from StarClan. You are young but wise, I trust you. It might be a sign from StarClan, could something possibly bad happen? I ask that you ask StarClan if they can give more details. This might be a lot to ask for, but I'm not sure our clan is ready to fight yet."
Oh StarClan please help this clan.
Brightleaf padded of, and Whitestar whent to search for Blacktail and his apprenitce.

"That was very good! I never doubted you. You are strong and-"
Whitestar interrupted him.
"Sorry, may I talk to Blacktail for a while?"
Blacktail looked at his apprentice. "Why don't you go have a rest for now?"
Whitestar lead Blacktail into his den.

Confused and tired, Brightleaf decided to go sleep, even though it was just a few hours after sunhigh. As she was walking back to her den, she noticed Blacktail following Whitestar.
"Blacktail, I am going to sleep. Don't count on me waking up." she told him, before padding into the shadowy medicine den.
Tired, she immediately curled up to sleep~

Fawnstep sighed and nodded. She bounded towards the forest, climbing up a tree with ease. She lied down happily. Watching a thrush land on the branch further away. [i]I must be quiet[/s] She sighed. She watched the thrush nestle into itself.

Blacktail and Whitestar had quickly started a convrsation.
"How did you know she'd make a good warrior?"
"You need to train your apprentice very well." Blacktail and Whitestar said at the same time.
Blacktail looked confused "Why?!"
"Because, there was a vision, we are not sure what it means, but we need to be very strong. There is only a few of as, and Leafshadow is expecting kits, also I know because she is the only apprentice in this clan. She feels as though it's her duty to protect the clan. I also have a few plans. Maybe the deputy? "
Blacktail nodded. "I agree, I promise to train her as well as I can."
Blacktail exited the den and went back to his apprentice.

"I'm pretty hungry. Why don't we go back to hunting?"
I don't know what the vision is. What if it has something to do with Hunger. It's nearly Leaf-Bare. Or what if it's about the clan being attacked?
Thoughts flooded Blacktail's mind.

Fawnstep smiled. "Your alone too?" She asked the thrush, doubting that it would answer. It song its song before falling asleep. Fawnstep smiled with a evil glare before, striking her mouth at it, killing it with no noise.

Blacktail said surprising her a bit. He was very impressed.

Whitestar decided to go for a walk again and saw the thrush in Fawnpaws mouth. He nodded in acknowlogment. Just as he was walking he heard a rustling. He sniffed the air and smelt the scent of a kittypet. He knew this wasnt the time to fuss about kittypets. Maybe the kittypet could become a warrior? He looked into the bush and saw nothing but scraps of a vole. He didnt fuss about the cat taking there prey as well. This was his chance. To maje ThunderClan strong.

Fawnpaw dropped the thrush off the branch by surprise. "T-thank you." She hid her head as she leapt down and picked up the thrush. She ran to the nursery and put the thrush next to Leafshadow. "I can't stay here I need to be trained, but heres something to eat!"

Blacktail smiled to see how eager her apprentice was to train. He decided that she should keep practicing hunting.
"Close your eyes, Im going to hide somewhere and youre going to face the direction you think I am at. Thus will test your skills at picking up scents."
As he stopped somewhere a few tail lengths away from her, he stopped and checked the scent him self to see if there where too many scents there.
"Thats weird. I smell kittypets. I better go report to Whitestar after this, but for now, this will make it more challenging." Blacktail murmured to himself.
He waited for his apprentice to turn around.

"Don't worry about telling Whitestar. I'm pretty sure he decided to look for the source of the scent." She smirked and turned to the exact direction of Blacktail and pounced onto him to prove her hunting 'skills.'

Blacktail knew this might be harder. For there where three scents now, but he didnt doubt his apprentice at all. He once again waited for his apprentice to face the fresh kill.

Fawnpaw nodded and forced her eyes shut. She walked with her posture tall, smelling the strong scent of nature she simply walked in a circle to turn herself, avoiding a tree. She stopped, pouncing once again to a bush, stepped backwards and picked up the meat.

Blacktail was very impressed by her skills. "I think its time we take a break. We can train again tomorrow if youd like.You can go play with umm..-"
He was interrupted by Whitestars call.
"All cats of the clan. We would like to welcome our new apprentice Brownpaw. She was once a kittypet but has left and decided to join us. May she grow strong and may we all make her feel welcome."
The whole clan cheered.
"Why dont you go tour Brownpaw around the camp?"
Blacktail knew that Whitestar would have to mentor her unless some cat decided to join straight after that event.
