Nathana walked around the clearing, which was covered over by the branches above, but the trees that once filled the clearing had died. Nothing had grown in because of the shade from the bigger trees. She nodded before going about and gathering large branches.

Tiffany found Nathana. "Should we camp here?" She wondered, surveying the area.

Nathana propped up one of the long limbs she had found in the crook of a tree, and put the other end across the clearing in the Y section of another tree. "That's my plan... There should be enough room here for all of us to sleep..." She starts putting other branches up creating the skeleton of a roof.

She nodded. Tiffany helped build the makeshift shelter.

The tree branch was stuck in the Y section of another tree. Small sticks branched off from the branch, making walls. Other sticks were propped against it.

Nathana grabbed some twigs that still had the leaves on them and added them to the roof to add insulation and weather resistance. She stepped back and stared at what they had made. "I think this will work! It should fit four... Though it may be a little tight... If needs be I can make myself a small one nearby..."

"Ok. We should probalbly build some sort of floor so and and bugs don't crawl in."
Tiffany though about how they could make a floor.

Nathana looked around at their surroundings. "Hmm... I doubt that branches would be very comfortable... But if we padded them with fresh leaves that would be better... If we make the stick part raise up high enough we wouldn't have problems if it rained..."

"Good idea."
Tiffany said and gathered some logs. She tied them together with vines. She put her logs into the bottom of the shelter, and started covering the holes with mud and grass so bugs couldn't come in.

Nathana went about the area and gathered a good deal of small tinder like sticks, larger sticks and a couple logs. She then began to arrange them a little bit away from the shelter and put some rocks around it setting up a little campfire.

Tiffany rubbed two sticks together, and when there was enough friction, they produced a few embers that lit the fire.

Nathana stood up and stared at the infant fire. "I should go get a bit more firewood..." With that she walked off and disappeared from sight.

(It's okay!)

Tiffany sat by the fire, hugging her knees. She thought about the cruise ship and her newfound friends. It was rough, but they would be rescued soon enough.

Nathana grabbed an armload of all sizes of wood and made her way back to the camp. She set the logs down nearby before sitting across from Tiffany and warmed her hands over the fire.

(I think here would be a good place to stop, what do you think?)

Ricky rushed back carrying some old books and scrolls. "The dead guys had them. Maybe one or two can explain our situation or what killed them. Nice fire by the way. I found you guys almost instantly." Ricky said sitting down and dropping the books and scrolls.

Tiffany opened one carefully, she figured if they belonged to the dead people they would most likely have all kinds of Wear and tear on them. She turned the page and swept the dust off of it.

"Thanks. Should we put a canopy above the fire? High enough to catch the smoke but not to burn? I don't want anyone else to find us as easily." She suggested.

Nathana nodded to Tiffany. "I'll get to work on that..." She took off into the woods to gather long sticks and branches.

“The book is written in Latin. I can only read about eighty percent of it. It appears that there are wolves and some other wild animal. I can't tell what it is though but they say it is worse than a jaguar.” Ricky said flipping two pages.

(Sorry for the delay replying, I had to go to fencing practice)
"Hmm.." Tiffany slowly turned the page. "Is this it...?" She said, brushing the dust off a page. There was a sketch of some sort of big cat, the head stained by what appeared to be blood.

(Always good to meet a fellow fencer)

“That is a jaguar. They described it as worse.” Ricky said rumbing his head.
