Ivy's muscles tense as her emerald gaze locks onto the young boy.
"Stay away." She growls, dangerously low, her tail making scars
into the earth. Her expression is furious, and her eyes look like a
forest fire in a lush green forest.
Noko's ears pricked towards the sound of speaking. His heart
thudded against his rib cage, his breathing automatically became
shallow, as if not to be detected. He lightly steps towards the
sound, as if in a trance. He saw an obviously female Vaporeon and a
young hunter.
That was it. He wanted to scream. A hunter. And a Vaporeon. He had
her caught. His memories flushed forwards, when he had stood up for
what was right. The Vaporeon could probably take down this pathetic
boy... yet.
Yet his heart pumped to be the good guy, to step in. But what was
he supposed to do? Kick him? Bite him? Not like that would do any
good. Herbivore teeth.
Before his mind could say no, Noko's heart forced him out of his
hiding place and into the open. As the trainer spotted him, Noko
felt energy course throughout his body. He released this in a green
flying orb, aimed at the boy's feet. It exploded with surprising
power, kicking up dust.
Hearing noise, Fish ran back to where she had encountered Amber and
the riolu. She saw a Vaporeon there, as well. Lifting her chin up,
she padded into the clearing.
Ivy glances in surprise at Noko. She half scowls, half smiles. I
don't need help! Part of her mind growls. But it was kind of
him to come. The nicer part of her mind responds. Feeling dizzy
from arguing with herself, she glances at Noko. "Hi. I'm Ivy.
Thanks for coming by." Then she leaps at the Riolu next to amber
and sets a stream of freezing high-pressure water at it, sending it
sprawling.
Noko's heart thuds as he hears the Vaporeon speak. She... she could
talk to him. And maybe... maybe... maybe he could talk back.
His voice, rough from non-use, coughed out, "I'm Noko..." He aimed
another orb at the boy, hopefully knocking him out. His legs
screamed at him to use them and he shouted, "Let's get out of
here!"
At the exact moment he said that, he heard Pokemon crashing through
the bracken and underbrush.
"Run, run, run, RUN!" He screamed at the Vaporeon as an Espeon
appeared. He bit his lip and kicked off, not bothering to see if
the Vaporeon followed. He dove underneath a bush, shaking heavily
and breathing raggedly.
Noko screamed as he heard the Espeon pounding after him. He shot
out from underneath his bush, his legs stretching to gain ground.
He needed to reach the mountain.
Twenty feet.
Fifteen.
Ten.
Five. Boing! His hooves skidded on the slick rock, but he gained
purchase. He lept from rock to rock, boulder to border, his heart
thudding against his rib cage.
Fish's claws grazed his side as she leapt after him, her claws
leaving marks in the rocks. Her breathe was on his tail as he ran.
She made a leap for it, grabbing his leg in her claws.
That was it. Panic attack! He yelled in a shrill voice, squirming.
He blasted an energy orb in the Espeon face and kicked out with his
legs. "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?"
Wesley walks around the town. The street lights had just kicked on.
Nothing had really changed. Everyone was acting normal, was this
planned? "Aye... This feels great, but this also feels weird. But
shoot, who can resist being what they love?"
After that wry comment, Noko's blood boiled he shouted, not in fear
or surprise, but in a pure rage. He lashed out, kicking with his
hind-legs, shaking off the Espeon. He shot seeds at the Espeon
which rapped around it, coiling its roots around the body. A glow
shimmered off the seeds and landed on Noko, making him burst with
energy. He grinned at the Espeon, wrapped up on the ground.
