AND ONE-LINERS. OH GOD WHY. YOU'RE MAKING IT INCREDIBLY HARD TO READ.]
This is no use. I will need to find a good spot to settle. - Durandal thought, moving on on this journey. Since ghosts don't eat, he didn't need to pack any berries. Instead, he just washed his blade a bit, hoping it will not corrode.
He flew up into the top of the trees again and cut some unnecessary branches. He found a very wide branch and decided that it will be a good place to finally settle.
His ghostly scarf danced along the wind, as Durandal cut off a huge part of the top of the tree. He cut a bowl-shaped hole in the trunk.
He then swiftly flew down again to being just a bit of water and poured it into the hole.
[By the way, I'm limiting Durandal's ability to float to only access his home, and just occasionally to do other things, outside of battle.]

Fish blinked opened her eyes to the bright light of morning, and quickly shut them again. After a little more resting, she opened her eyes and adjusted to the brightness. She got up and padded outside, sniffing the damp air. Dark clouds hung threateningly over the forest. Fish decided to get something to eat before getting rained on. She sniffed out a berry bush and grabbed a stem. Careful not to squish any on the way to her cave, she held the stem gently. Fish spat it out into a dip in the cave ground with made for a food dish. She curled up on her nest and sighed.
He had grown accustomed to the newly found weight on his head. He had grown quite lean and powerful over the week that he had claimed his territory. He fought off many pokemon, but let others, such as Caterpie and Sewaddle, remain, as he did not view them as a threat.
He met no trouble on his patrol this time, and remarked the borders by spitting out his Drain Seeds (Leech Seed). He lingered at the border, as rain began to pour down, droplets rolling off his sleek brown black.
Durandal didn't notice until now, he's now much stronger than before! He always wanted to be powerful, but is he the strongest? I've reached perfection. Surely, nothing can stop me now! - he thought narcissistically, as he always does. He knew that it cannot be true. He just likes to think like that.
Too bad the Pokemon living in this forest were stupid enough to invade his base. He cut through every single one of them.
Durandal floated through the forest, in hopes of finding other people, and perhaps, finally kill off that Espeon he met earlier. Something stopped him from continuing further though.
He met his trainer yet again, this time, with a fully evolved competitive team.
But he's sure he can handle this... Right?

Amber saw something sparkle in the grass and ran towards it. She dug at a small pink rock until it was revealed. She cleaned it off at the river and touched it. "Ouch!" she yelped as it was hit a fire. She covered it with dirt and took I to her spot.
