What's the term "artdip"? I've never heard of that before O.o

@Dragon_Lady
Your drawings are always so unique!

Finally tried some digital watercoloring. Not really sure how to do it, and I couldn't find a good tutorial. This was an art trade I did with someone on DA. Bad anatomy OTL

Yuucchii: THIS IS SO GOOD. And it´s so well done. So clean. The colors are great, the shading, the everything. I think there is no need for digital watercolor tutorial for you. You totally got how it works °^°

Japants, Dakar, you've both been accepted~!
welcome to the group~~

and artdip for me is basically that you have three sentences going through your head
or rather mine, it probs differs with each person
''i suck at drawing'' ''everybody is better than me'' ''why do i even try?''
so yeah, that was absolutely horrible
BUT I AM BACK AGAIN
kinda XD
i'll finally be uploading some works again
like adopts =3=
here's a bat i sketches

i first tried it without ref, that failed horribly, so i continued in a late stadium with ref.
fixed a little here and there~~

@Rabou
wwww you're too generous with your comments ^^;

I'm still experimenting and it doesn't look very watercolor-ish to me actually? My friend was doing real watercolor the other day and it looked completely different OTL XDDD. I think I would still like some guidance with digital watercolor though ^^; (I wish I would stop being lazy/cheap and learn real watercolor too XD)

@ Yuucchii: I guess, the best way of learning some techniques is practice, practice and practice °^° So digital watercolor will possibly ever look different from real watercolor

@Dragon_Lady
Although there is style, I want to emulate real watercolor ^^;; , to me it just doesn't look realistic enough xD. Idk, I'm a very "real" person so I stress over things like this. & Thank you!!

@Rabou
yep, yep. Long laborious practice gosh. xD, I like to draw but ehhh.... Wish improvement will just come by without practice OTL (even though I know it won't) haha. I find it kinda disappointing to actually know when most artists reach that amazing state they have less time to draw. alksdalskjaljs, why life why.

@ Yuucchii: Who doesn´t wish that would happen. But... it´s such a burden, that it never will happen. This instantly-can-draw-like-a-god magic.

So, I had this art auction here a few days ago, and this is the result:

Tried to give it a cuter look, but without drawing a Chibi.
I like the eye °^° .... The shading is still missing, art block said "nope, I won´t let you add shades to this!"

person requested a cat
so here's my 2nd cat drawing in my life

i kind of want to watercolour it XD
bt thne i have to grab my watercolours that i haven't used yet~~

@Dragon_Lady
Ahh it looks amazing!!! The paws are a bit off though but anatomy is hard, and I don't really know how to explain it to fix it? Make sure you have the right kind of paper before watercoloring it too, I tried to watercolor on normal paper once. I didn't turn out well XD. Glad you got out of your artdip!

drawing yuki (snow) miku. I'm happy how it turned out ;w; I think spoilers make my drawings smaller?? So I don't think I'll be using those any more.

@ Dragon Lady: Yuucchii is right, the right paw (the more in the background one) is a bit weird from it´s position. It would look better if you would draw it more from a side view...

@ Yuucchii:

This looks so great. I really like the colors you´ve chosen.
Only this amount of snowflakes is a bit too much (less flakes would look better)

ah, he looks beautiful!

well, it might be that the paws seem a tad bit on the short side
but it's a breed with short legs
really short legs XD

more from a sideview?
like, with less or more pawprint stuff?

Yuucchii you're making me cry. I need to know how you shade/color like that because it's beautiful. That drawing looks absolutely amazing - i love it. *^*

This was from a few days ago hehe.

A drawing (i guess it's a chibi), of Ferid from the new anime Owari no Seraph.
This is my first chibi drawing yet and i'm actually quite happy with how it looks.
The shading looks... boring. I haven't got my own 'static' coloring/shading style yet, and I can't find a good one that I can do orz

less, since I ment a view from the SIDE, no pawpad stuff in this position. That would look anatomically not correct.

Tried a redline, since I fail with explaining thing, especially this
(I changed the left front paw a bit too, to let it match more.. idk xD)

@Rabou
Thanks, hahah, yeah I think I think I went overkill with the snowflakes because originally I put too little orz XD.

@Toothie
Thank you!! Just practice! I was quite bad when I started drawing digitally/anime. your chibis are better than mine then when I started lol XD. I think my coloring is okay because I use a lot bright over-saturated colours OTL. To be honest, I don't really know how I learned how to color. A lot of artists influence me and whenever I see someone's works I always go like "I want to color like that"! and then see a different artist and go like "I want to color like too" XDDD.

I think I learned how by copying various artist's styles and then changing them. Or they don't come out exact anyways, because it's not "your" style. I don't have my own static style either haha, I'm just currently experimenting and doing weird stuff with my art OTL.

I'll temporarily unhide this xD, this was the first chibi I drew
