Quick question about battling: if the attacking pokemon have same attack as the defend of the defending pokemon how much HP will it attack?

Ex: 11 attack attacks against 11 defence.

Edit: Oh wait. It does 1 hp didn't see that *facepalm*

Does anyone have any suggestions to simplify the battle system? It seems like it is too complicated for most of the members here, but I don't really know how to make it simpler without removing the (already almost nonexistent) strategy factor.

Perhaps we could do it like
Super Effective= x2
Not very effective= Divide by 2
Immunity= 0 damage
Normal= Divide by 2 until it is under the opponents HP (The base stat total for the move)
