Chapter 1: Fire?
In the frigid mountains, Araysh was engaged in a battle with a Golbat that had the audacity to invade his cave. After narrowly evading a supersonic attack, he unleashed a shadow ball to frighten the Golbat away. The Golbat barely dodged the shadow ball and fled, but then the smell of smoke hit him.
Raul was hovering in the clouds, observing the scene below when a massive cloud of smoke billowed up from the forest. Attempting to use future sight, he witnessed a colossal Pokémon trainer taking control of the forest, and then he saw a human named Ash trying to dominate and enslaving the Pokémon living there. Raul found the first vision somewhat implausible, but the second one seemed likely, prompting him to descend for a closer look.Meanwhile, Foster was lounging lazily in the sun when flames erupted around him. The smoke made him feel dizzy and sick, and he called out for help before losing consciousness and fainting.
Big Chris noticed the fire and the Charizard responsible for it, a Pokémon belonging to a trainer named Red. As Big Chris engaged in battle, he felt himself shrinking, and darkness surrounded him. In his struggle to escape, he decided to attempt a fire blast. He felt himself break free and heard a cry for help coming from the clearing near the berry patch, which was now engulfed in flames. He dashed away from the trainer through the fire, while the Charizard pursued him. Just then, a Butterfree released sleeping powder on the Charizard and whispered, 'There, I’ve repaid you.' In the meantime, Big Chris sprinted through the fire, scooped up Foster, and placed him on his back before racing toward the hill at the foot of the mountain. Just as this happened, Raul arrived right on time, swooping down to rescue an Ivysaur trapped in the flames trying to escape.
