Stargazer, to Blackberry: Rings seem like a bit much. But, I-I mean, they might like bracelets! I know Autumn would...

Autumn, flapping upward: What is Aloe showing me- Woah! *She sees the flower portrait and is so surprised that a daffodil starts winding around her talons. Frostbite is visibly hiding his eyes from the bright colors of the flowers, which makes her giggle.*

Autumn: I-it's-- It's so beautiful- I-I don't know what to say-

Stargazer, to Blackberry: We don't have the ingredients to bake a cake, though.

Autumn: *She looks at Aloe and smiles a little, then looks forward.* I can't believe this dragon actually likes me this much. Most other dragons think I'm just insecure and weirdly colored and shy. ...Well, most other LeafWings, anyway. I mean, I guess I am a bit shy, but not when other dragons actually care enough for me not to have to be. I think? Feelings are too confusing. And what does Aloe mean that I made him the dragon he is? I haven't known him for more than maybe a few weeks, tops.

*Stargazer suddenly stares forward blankly, unsure what she's feeling. Frostbite looks at her with visible concern as she stares for a moment longer before standing up and sighing with relief.*

Stargazer: Nightmare's not dreaming anymore. He's still asleep, but he's not feeling too good. I hope he's doing better than his dreams seem to say. *Shudders* Moons, there was a lot of blood...

Autumn: *Autumn snaps out of her fugue state and tries to step back in surprise at Aloe kissing her on the mouth...* Agh! *...And then panics when she realizes that the thorny vines are basically keeping her "rooted" in place and starts fluttering her wings in alarm.* Agh! Get these things off me!

Autumn: ... *She stands motionless and doesn't react, but it's unclear whether she's processing information or just very confused. The thorns have grown into vines now and start to wind around her talons, not hurting her, but still slightly digging into her scales. Stargazer slumps forward with her talons around her face and Frostbite tries to help her up, clearly worried about her (and also Nightmare, if his dreams are responsible for her headache.)*

Autumn: *The young LeafWing's wings droop onto the ground as she hears what Lotus tells her. She stares at the other dragons next to her in confused silence for a few moments, trying to process the new information.* ...My father went missing? ...I-I can't-- ...How?... *Something flashes in her eyes: an unusual glimmer of fierce disbelief mixed with denial. She whips around to face Lotus directly, and thorns spring up on the ground around her talons.* You can't be serious. He's fine. Aspen is fine. He has to be fine, he has to!

Frostbite: *Frostbite glares at Toucan, blushing with embarrassment at the thought of looking like something as normal as lightning frightened him. Stargazer giggles at his attempt to hide his uncertainty.* I'd rather enjoy not getting incinerated by a lightning bolt, thank you very much.

Nightmare: *The enormous NightWing shivers and twitches in his sleep, his dreams plagued with nightmares about killing dragons he loves and having blood on his claws, and he mumbles every now and then about it.* N-no, Bloodmoon, d-don't make me-- I don't want- Please... *Stargazer puts her talon to her head, unable to avoid seeing and hearing his night terrors as she hisses through her teeth and staggers back. Frostbite quickly rushes to her side, helping her stand up as she tries (but fails) to regain her composure.*

Stargazer: Poor Nightmare. H-he's- ow- Having a really hard time sleeping soundly.

*Autumn smiles and follows Aloe on a walk. Gentle rain starts falling on the beach, and Stargazer spreads her wings to enjoy it. Frostbite runs under a tree to avoid getting wet, which Star giggles at.*

Stargazer: Frostbite, you're not seriously afraid of getting wet, are you? Ice is just frozen water.

Frostbite: I am not! I'd just rather not get struck by lightning if it turns into a storm.

Frostbite, to Snowstroller: S-sorry, I got distracted. I honestly had a hunch you were an animus based off of your… appearance.

Stargazer: What does he mean, based off of- *She looks closer at Snowstroller and realizes that she looks uncannily similar to Darkstalker. She steps back in surprise, not scared of Snowy, but surprised she didn't notices her appearance that much before.* Oh.

Stargazer, to Snowstroller: …D-did you mean me? I wasn't trying to ignore you, I'm sorry.

Autumn: *Autumn backs away slightly from Hummingbird, worrying that she might try to use her venom if she gets frustrated enough. She looks at Lotus and Aloe with a slightly uneasy expression.* Um, sure? We can do that…

Nightmare: I need to rest. I'd do that here, but… *He gestures at himself, emphasizing his size compared to the others before walking off to find a nice place to lie down.*

Frostbite, to Toucan: My name is Frostbite, nice to meet you. *He turns to Hummingbird.* And it's nice to meet you, too. *He said with a hint of sarcasm that made Stargazer giggle. He turned back to the NightWing with an expression of uneasiness and took a deep breath.* Stargazer… Do you want to go out sometime?

Stargazer: *She blushed and stared at Frostbite for a few moments, unsure how to respond. She looks at Nightmare, and he gives her a thumbs up of encouragement as Autumn giggles excitedly.* …Uh, s-sure! Sure.

Frostbite, still blushing: Wait, really? Uh, I-I mean- I'm glad you've accepted my offer.

Frostbite: *Frostbite manages to stand up, rubbing sand out of his eyes.* Huh? Oh, s-sorry. That was a stupid idea, I'm not doing that again… *He mumbles, more to himself than to the others. Stargazer locks eyes with him and he blushes.* I… I have something to tell you.

Stargazer: Me too… Um, I hatched under three full moons, and… *They both take a deep breath and talk over each other, which Nightmare giggles at.*

Stargazer and Frostbite: I'm an animus dragon. Wait, what?

Frostbite: You're an animus, too? *He stands up straighter, now knowing that Blizzard's hunch about Stargazer being an animus was right.* I knew it! …Well, I suspected it.

Stargazer: Yeah, I, uh, inherited it from my mother. You?

Frostbite: Pure chance, I think. Queen Diamond was one of my ancestors, but that was a long time ago… *Frostbite notices the silver scales behind Star's eyes, which are no longer covered up and are a lot more noticable from up close.* Wait, can you-

Stargazer: Yes. *She drops her voice to a whisper.* I can read minds and have visions. Please don't tell anyone. I don't want to cause any necessary stress. I knew you were an animus. I didn't want to tell you I could read minds because I was worried you wouldn't trust me.

Frostbite: Well, it's impressive that you kept multiple secrets this long. *He winks at her, and she blushes a bit.*

Frostbite: *Frostbite looked around and decided to fly back to the beach, wanting to ask Stargazer something. He thought about using his magic to make it take less time.* If I enchant something to transport me to the beach, it'll be a lot faster than flying back for two or three days. … *He picks up a chunk of ice laying in the snow and flies off with it as Wolf approaches him quickly.*

Wolf: Hey! *She glares at her brother as he flies off.*

Wolf: Ugh, he's going to see that NightWing without saying goodbye. Moonlicking crocodile… *She picks up Iceberg and walks back to her house.*

Frostbite: *Once he was some distance away from the Ice Kingdom, he held the chunk of ice in front of himself.* I enchant this piece of ice to transport me back to the beach where I previously was. The one with Stargazer on it. *He flickers out of the sky… and right on top of Stargazer.*

Stargazer: Agh! She collapses under the older dragon's weight, and Nightmare turns to look at Frostbite in confusion. Autumn nearly falls over in surprise as well.*

Autumn, jumping back: What in the name of Clearsight?!

Stingray

Stingray: *Stingray panics once he realizes that Axolotl isn't in her room. Just as he's about to tell her mother Salmon, he notices a small piece of scroll on her bed and picks it up, reading it aloud.* "I went out to explore for a bit. If I don't come back within a few hours, assume I fell asleep somewhere. Love you! -Axolotl" …Oh, I thought I clearly told her not to sneak out!

Nightmare: *The huge NightWing flared his wings and stepped back when Blackberry started crying.* I- I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! A-all I did was calmly tell her not to tease Aloe! *He cranes his head down to make eye contact with Blackberry.* I-I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to scare you or- I couldn't- I-I- *He looks at his blood-stained claws in a panic and folds his wings tighter against his back.*

Nightmare: Good going, monster. You just made another innocent, helpless, happy dragonet cry. Bloodmoon was right, you're never going to fully be the helpful, friendly, caring dragon you want to be. There'll always be a small part of that old ruthless assassin inside you…

Stargazer, to Aloe: …I keep saying I don't feel the same about Frostbite, but he's the kindest IceWing I've ever met. *She looks at Snowstroller.* …Well, pure IceWing. And there's the way his eyes shine like the sunny sky…

Autumn: *Autumn flinches when Aloe touches her with his tail and reflexively tries to smack it away as a default reaction to being touched without permission, but looks at him to make sure it didn't come across as rude.* Oh! S-sorry, I didn't mean to, that was a reflex…

Stingray: *After a little less than an hour of swimming, Stingray arrived back at the Deep Palace. He took a moment to admire the architecture before diving in.* I've… I've spent so much time reading and writing scrolls in the library that I'd almost forgotten how beautiful the palace is… *He made his way inside and propped up his glasses before heading towards Axolotl's room to check on her.*

Stargazer's POV

Nightmare: Blackberry, please don't tease him, he's just asking for advice.

Stargazer: I wish I knew how to give romantic advice, but I've never had a crush on anyone. I mean, Frostbite clearly likes me, but I'm not sure if I feel the same way about him… *She looks at the trio of NightWing hybrids, unsure if she should speak up.* I… I feel like I should say something, but what? *Her expression turns a bit uneasy as she realizes something.* Wait, they can all hear me. They know I can hear them. That means they know now that I'm a mindreader. Oh, I hope I can trust them to keep it a secret. I might need to tell the others soon so that they won't distrust me for not telling them personally…

Autumn, to Lotus: Thanks. Your son is a nice dragon, by the way.

Corvid's POV

*He backs up when the new dragon approaches, but quickly recognizes her.

Corvid: …Raven!

Raven: Yep! Where were you? Midnight here was looking for you. *She gestures to the crow sitting on Corvid's shoulder.*
