I've spent the most of my morning trying to scrape up enough crystal to make weapon exp for Amber ;w;
I hate the cap on how much you're able to make a day, so I've been forced to run the Abyss and do Diona's trial c':
Managed to 9-star floors 9 and 10 pretty easily this time, but I've never been able to get enough stars on floor 11 to enter 12-
I love her so much ;u; No buffs, just her, 4-piece wanderers, max'd r1 Amos Bow, plus pyro resonance
With Bennett's burst (talent level 12), her ATK increases by another ~1k ish

Otherwise, not much else has happened recently-

I got a couple more level 10 friendships, so now I have namecards for:
Amber, Ningguang, Razor, Jean, Eula, Noelle, Diona, Barbara, Bennett, Kaeya, and Rosaria
Xiangling, Sucrose, Hu Tao, and Fischl are next in-line ~

I started building Mona, since I have her at C1, and figured I should probably put my collection of 5-stars to use
So she's currently: A5, level 70 / 80, 1-1-2 talents, with my r4 Solar Pearl
I was going to hold off on levelling her anymore bc I wanted to secure some decent artifacts for her
However, all my Noblesse runs, so far, have been either DEF or Bloodstained c':
Was kinda hoping for some Noblesse for Bennett, as I'm currently running him on 2-piece Glad and 2-piece Shimenawa

I'm on track to have 100 pulls by the time Hu Tao's banner ends
As much as I would love to have Albedo, it's taking everything I have to not dump it all on Eula constellations ;w;

As far as team-building goes, I'm with Guri and just throw my favourite characters together and hope for the best ^^"

My recently most used builds are-

Overworld: Ningguang (main DPS) + Amber (just bc) + Bennett (burst support) + whoever else
Spiral Abyss (1): Eula (main DPS) + Rosaria (sub-DPS) + Xiangling (burst support) + Childe (freeze/vap set-up)
Spiral Abyss (2): Ningguang (main DPS) + Noelle/Diona (shields + heals) + Bennett (burst support) + whoever else

Depending on the enemies and such, there may be a couple of changes, however, that's generally what my teams look like

I believe the "International Team" is one of the best team builds, and is F2P friendly
And that there's a couple variations of it, also

Originally, I believe it consisted of:
Xiangling (main DPS), Xingqiu (sub-DPS), Chongyun (support) and Bennett (support + heals)

But others include:

(1): Childe (main DPS), Xiangling (sub-DPS), Kazuha (support) and Bennett (support + heals)
(2): Xiangling (main DPS), Baal (sub-DPS), Xingqiu (sub-DPS) and Bennett (support + heals)

If you wanted, @Taavi, you could probably take the second option, make Xiangling your sub-DPS/burst support, in place of Xingqiu
And make Childe your Main DPS, if that makes sense?

Good luck to any Hu Tao wanters !

I did one 10-pull and Thoma came home c':

So now I can skip the rest of the banner and re-save my fates
I currently have 62 and hoping that Albedo comes in the next update
However, I feel like if he does, he'll come in the second half bc I don't think his last banner did too well
My pity is at 43, so if Itto, or whoever, comes first I'll probably just do a 10-pull for the 4-stars-

I also bought my 5th Bennett constellation from the store ^^" So he's doing really well now
And I also got an Amos Bow from the standard banner !
So Ima throw that on my Amber whenever I'm able to actually farm the mats for it cx

I've never pulled on the weapon banner, my only 5-star weapon was from the standard banner c':
I feel like, for f2p players, if you focus on getting decent artifacts on your characters, and getting their talents levelled
Smacking a max'd out 4-star weapon on them, should be enough to clear most things in the game
Thus, saving your pulls for the character banners for constellations to help them further
In my opinion, anyway

And like, even though the guaranteed pity on the weapon banner is a tad lower (80 for the guaranteed)
I think it's still a bit of a scam bc, like the character banner, you're not guaranteed either of promotional weapons

"Promotional 5★ weapon guarantee: Every time a player wins a 5★ item, there is a 75% chance it will be a promotional 5★ weapon.
If the 5★ item won is not one of the promotional weapons, the next 5★ item is guaranteed to be a promotional weapon.
Thus it requires a maximum of 160 wishes to guarantee obtaining one of the promotional 5★ weapons." - here

A bit further down-
Epitomized Path - "...Therefore, an upper limit of 240 wishes (38,400 Primogems) may be required on one Epitome Invocation wish to guarantee the desired 5-star weapon."

But, it's up to you, do you have any pity built on the weapon banner already?
And, if you do choose to pull for the weapon, I have no doubt that Sayu/Thoma/Diona will appear on another banner soon
Plus, Sayu and Diona are also in the standard banner, and Thoma will probably be added in the next update
There's also the chance to pull 4-star characters from the weapon banner too-

I haven't played the most recent level to the event yet, but I've found it quite enjoyable so far c':
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing with the charms-
However, I've managed to complete all the Dire challenges so far
~~although the abyss lector did catch me off guard in the second one~~
My main team that I've been using is: Ningguang, Bennett, Rosaria, and Eula !

Otherwise, I've just been focusing on building characters recently :3
Sucrose being one, she's so adorable !
C5, level 80/90, with The Widsith (r3), 4-piece Viridescent Venerer, 7-10-11 talents

I think the next characters I'm going to work on/finish will be Rosaria and Bennett, just bc I've grown super fond of them
They both, really, just need ascending to level 6 -
Also, Fischl, bc she's my friend's favourite character, but he refuses to play c':
I also want to build one of my 5-star characters, since I have quite a few but only use Eula/Jean
But I'm not sure which, bc I'm not super attached to any of them-

But speaking of 5-stars, I've skipped Childe's banner and have managed to save up 60-pulls
I also have guaranteed pity-
And, I think, depending on who else is on Hu Tao's banner, I might skip her's too
I don't want her C1, nor do I really want Thoma
Has it been confirmed if Itto is coming after her? bc I don't think I want him or Gorou either ;w;

Also - a tad off-topic, apologies - I've picked up Honkai Impact again
It just makes me hope that Yae Miko will be a sword user rather than a catalyst, as Yae Sakura uses a Katana
~~Though, I doubt Mihoyo will~~
But, this is Hellmaru !
I'd like to think that this is the closest we'll get to seeing Miko's fox form ;w;

"Well, there should be twelve of us. At least, that's how many there were last year and, that I'm aware of, there haven't been any changes," Alyssia hums as she attempts to recall how many people she had seen or who had passed in the past few moments since she'd arrived, "We should be expecting... about three more people? If I've counted correctly."

She laughs lightheartedly, picking up her things after having rested her hands for a moment, "As for rooms, you shouldn't worry too much. If you weren't here last year, rooms are pretty much a free-for-all. They will have been cleaned over the summer break, as well as any repairs made. They're all relatively nice, and each has its own bathroom for privacy. We just ask that you don't absolutely destroy the place, because the last thing I'm sure any of us need is a fine for damages, aha~ Oh, and there's also a communal kitchen, lounge, games room, and a private garden out back that you're free to hang out in."

"Anyway, I'm going to get out of the way now, I need to put all this away and then take some stuff down to the music rooms. But if you need any more help, I'm sure any of the other seniors here will be more than happy to do so! I don't know them too well, but they all seem pretty friendly, so don't be afraid to ask. I'll see you all later then!"

Waving, she heads off down the hall, leaving the others to get settled and explore for themselves. Ally enters her room after swiping the card on the reader, instantly met with the walls filled with posters of various bands and artists. Whilst she was mainly into the heavier, darker, side of music, she enjoyed other genres just as much. Amongst the posters were, also, photos of her small circle of friends who lived outside of the Stella House, some included her co-workers at the bar she worked part-time at. On her vanity sat a single framed photo of a beaming, brown-haired child, in curly pig-tails and a pink dress, who stood between two adults - presumably her parents. The image was had faded somewhat with age, as did the pencil marks on the back stating: 'Alyssia, 5 years old'.

The front door to the Stella House creeks opens, a strip of sunlight filtering through, and Alyssia's attention is diverted once more. Met by a peering pair of golden eyes, Ally gives a friendly wave. Another new face: that, she was pretty sure of. Unlike the other student, Alyssia had no memories (that she was aware of) of meeting this person last year. Thus, she came to the conclusion that the girl who had just entered the dorm was one of this year's first-year students. They appeared lost in thought for a second before they greeted Alyssia. In that brief moment, Ally was suddenly reminded of a porcelain doll she used to play with as a young child. It was now probably tucked away in her parent's attic, collecting dust; however, the doll and this student, looked scarily alike, with the exception of the birthmark that Alyssia managed to catch a quick glimpse of on the student's neck.

"Hey there," she quickly replies with her own greeting, "Welcome to the Stella House. Hopefully, you'll enjoy your stay here. A couple of people have already arrived - I think we're possibly waiting on a few others too. But, please, make yourself at home."

Slightly disappointed that Childe's banner is literally just Ayaka's banner-
But I already have him at C2 and don't use him, so I can skip his

And, depending on what 4-stars are on Hu Tao's, I might actually skip hers too
Probably do a couple of pulls just to try and get Thoma
But I don't really want to waste my guaranteed pity on C1 Hu Tao bc, again, I don't really use her either tbh

Currently building Sucrose ! She's so adorable ♡
And I'm enjoying using Rosaria a lot more now - her, Bennett and Eula have been working really well together
So I think I'll actually finish her after Sucrose c':

Alyssia, seemingly having spaced out for a while, turns around to now face the student that had not long entered the building after her. Almost instantly, she was able to pick up on thickening tension forming in the space from the nervous energy radiating from the student, even as far as noticing the person's grip tightening on their luggage. First day nerves, that was probably it, right? Or maybe it was her? Was her makeup too much for the first day? Not that she had done it any different this morning. On closer inspection, there was something familiar about this student. Were they here last year, also?

Admittedly, Alyssia couldn't say that she had gotten particularly close with any of her roommates last year. If Ally wasn't gone for classes, she'd be out and about on campus, as she had various spots she loved going to, in order to practice her music. This was mainly out of consideration for her roommates, as she was pretty certain that they'd probably prefer not to listen to the screeches of her violin, no matter how well she played, whilst studying and whatnot. However, if Alyssia didn't disappear for either of these reasons, she also had a part-time job on the side, typically meaning she was always home late, plus the occasional mini-gigs with the band she was a guitarist for. Perhaps she'd try and make an effort this year. Besides, it was probably a little weird, confusing even, for her previous roommates to see her about once in a blue moon, and each time with a different colour in her hair. Yeah - she should probably cut down on the dye too, let her hair breathe something other than ammonia for once.

Deciding to give the person some room to recollect themselves, Alyssia steps back, moving her luggage out of their way.

"Hey, welcome! Um... I'm not sure if you remember me or not from last year, but it's Alyssia," she offers a small, sheepish smile, "Forgive me, I wouldn't usually forget such things, I think I recognise your face but remind me of your name?"

Having made it through the queue fairly quick - due to her 'intimidating' looks, people generally moved out of her way without any hesitation upon seeing her coming - Alyssia was now making the trek towards the Stella House with her enrollment package clutched between her teeth. It was a journey she'd made several times already in her previous year and was sure she could probably do it blindfolded by now. Why it had to be so far away from everything, Ally still wasn't completely sure. However, if it could be considered any kind of compensation, that area of campus was generally the quietest and prettiest, and the constant back-and-forth for classes sure saved spending money on a gym membership.

It wasn't long before the dormitory eventually came into view. Advancing still, she attempted to juggle her baggage into one hand, whilst the other dug around in her pockets in hopes of finding the keycard that'd allow her entry into the building. Not only did the keycards allow students access to their designated dormitory blocks, but they were also the students' IDs: a small passport-style image on one corner, whilst personal details were written on the other. Alyssia often tried her best to avoid even the slightest at hers and kept it hidden from others. The photo: first-year Alyssia, except her hair back then, dyed a hot-pink mess with her natural brunette roots peeping through. It probably wasn't even 24-hours after seeing that particular photo developed, permanently printed to the card, that Alyssia dyed her hair again. Since then, she'd long lost count of how many different colours her hair had been assaulted with.

Alyssia sighs in relief as she finally arrives, swiping her card on the little device beside the door, which does a little beep as it approves the ID and unlocks the door. She nudges the door open with her foot, whilst carefully dragging her things inside behind her. It's a tad quiet inside, so she assumes she's either the first or one of the first to arrive. But, just in case, she decides to give a friendly announcement of her arrival.

"Good morning!"

The Silver Monarch University (SMU): a prestigious boarding institute open for all, but known mainly for its specialized courses for the gifted and talented. Throughout the year, the Governors of SMU spend a lot of resources on scouting other institutes for potential talent, offering many young people the chance to study at its own advanced facilities on a 2-year placement. However, because the entrance exams are considerably tough, only roughly 100 students gain a spot in these courses each year. Despite this, it is not uncommon to run into students who are only here due to their families' wealth and reputation. So whilst this means classes are usually on the smaller side, it also allows students to have more 1-on-1 time with tutors if necessary.

That being said, you'd gained your placement with ease, and before you knew it, enrollment day had arrived. Between the fresh-faced first-years who have arrived on campus for the first time and the returning second-years... Admittedly, the first day was always the most chaotic as students queued in the front courtyard, waiting to receive their enrollment packages containing their prospectus, schedules, dormitory info, etc. Fortunately, everyone was usually dispersed within a couple of hours, being encouraged to mingle with others as they're left to explore the campus for themselves. The day would later be concluded with a formal dinner party in the main auditorium, the invitation slipped in between the several other leaflets in the package. Although optional, it would be a final chance to get to know some people before the stress of classes officially kicks in.

A delicate melody, plucked by nimble fingers against the steel strings of a guitar, sounded across the campus car park.

Tucked away in the most distant corner of the lot, a dirt-clad pick-up truck sits parked under an elm tree, leaves of copper and gold littering the ground around it as they fell. The luggage cases, which had been previously strapped into the bed for the journey, had now been moved aside and replaced with a group of bodies, whose style many would probably describe as 'punk'. Three sat in the bed of the truck, passing around a cigarette between them, whilst a fourth had perched herself on top of the roof panel, cross-legged, effortlessly strumming away on the glossy black electric-acoustic guitar in her hands. However, the music comes to a sudden halt as the remnants of the cigarette is offered up towards her.

"Wanna drag?" the male asks, to which she shakes her head, causing the faux blue locks to fall free from behind her ear.

"You know I don't smoke," she replies bluntly.

"Anymore. You don't smoke, anymore. But I've known you for years, Alyssia-"

"Only since high school." A swift correction.

He huffs and Alyssia rolls her eyes, shifting in her seat slightly to slide the instrument back into the case beside her, "I know you'll pack your schedule full - as you always do - and then burn out by the end of the week-"

"Oh, stop it!" barks the girl sat cosy in his lap, lightly punching him in the shoulder, "Ally's a smarty-pants. Unlike us, at least she gets her stuff done. Oh-! Did I hear right? This is your second year in the Stella House?"

"Oi! What's that supposed to mean? "Unlike us"?" the second male pipes up, seemingly offended at the comment.

"It simply means I've got a couple more brain cells than you and have been deemed worthy enough to have the luxury of not having to share a room with sweaty, hormonal idiots. But I'm pretty certain that's how you prefer it. Am I right, Tooty-Fruity?" A sudden burst of laughter erupts from the four, more specifically three of the four, the other turning a vivid shade of red as he stammers for a comeback. Within seconds, Alyssia has slid off of the roof of the truck, lips just centimetres away from his ear as she whispers, "I'll be sure to send any pretty boys your way if I happen to meet any, okay?"

Alyssia hops off of the bed of the truck, her guitar case now secured across her back, and begins seeking out her luggage. She takes the handle of one of the larger suitcases in one hand and picks up a second instrument case in the other.

"You're leaving us now?" the female pouts, "We've literally only just got here."

"Afraid so. Like we've just discussed, my schedule is already fully booked. I mean: I have to get through all of that without dying," Alyssia explains, gesturing to the sea of students making their way, presumably, to the front courtyard to pick up their enrollment things, "And then my luggage isn't going to carry itself to the other side of the campus - probably the only downside to the Stella House: how far it is away from everything. And then I have to head over to the music building because I'm playing with the orchestra during the beginning of the party, and I, uh, really need to practice."

"The orchestra! She's too fancy to hang out with us now!" the first male laughs, a cloud of smoke escaping his chapped lips, "You'll, at least, treat us to drinks later Ally?"

Although the smirk on her face said otherwise, she tilts her head in a confused manner, "Hm? I didn't quite catch that, sorry. You want a job? I can ask my manager for you when I'm next on shift. Then you'd have actual money to spend on, y'know, useful things and, if you're feeling generous, treat us instead."

Little more was exchanged before Ally made her getaway, being sure to wave goodbye (or as best as she could with full hands) as she did. Sure, they could be idiots, but she loved them all - quite possibly her only friends. Each one came with their flaws, as did she; but, somehow, it just seemed to work out. Making her way to the courtyard, she cautiously weaves her way through a bunch of loitering students, being mindful not to tread or bump into anyone or anything that could potentially damage her instruments. That'd be the last thing she needed. But, one more year. That's all she'd have to endure and then she'd be free to do... Well, that, Ally actually hadn't planned that far ahead yet.

Though if there was one thing she did know for certain, it was that she had been craving something sugary for a while now. She made a mental note to make a pit stop at that on-site tuck shop and browse the snacks. Surely they'd have something with enough substance to fuel her until the evening party.
