The Day Darkness Falls

Sectors of Claow | 8 Tributors | Chances of survival: None

Claow was a peaceful world, famous for it's breath-taking sunrises and tranquil sunsets. It became known as the realm of light. But that was all before the monster came, centuries ago

The monster.. A savage that feasts on the soul until there is nothing left but an empty corpse. Then it uses the personality and knowledge of that soul for it's next victim; to shapeshift into a person's worst nightmare, driving them insane and then, well. You know what happens. Now it settles in the wasteland after killing the people of Sector 10

The world of Claow split into 9 Sectors, all controlled by the Raven, the ruler of all the Sectors. After the monster devastated the population of Sector 9, the Raven 'asked' the other Sectors to send a man or a woman over the age of 15 every 7 years to try and slay the beast. But no one has survived.

It has been 329 years since the 'agreement' and so this year will be the 47th time that the tributors will face the monster. All they'll have to do is pray that their name isn't drawn. No one wants this to be their ending. This is the day that everyone calls The Day Darkness Falls...

For example, Sector 8 is the highest number and the lowest ranking, so they may face a few days without food, yet still slaving on to work, hoping to earn enough money to feed themselves. Usually the people from Sectors 1, 2 and 3 are a snobbier than the others (however feel free to change this) and focus more on pride, victory and honour for their Sector, rather than humility, nobleness and respect for everyone else.

In the form, you can request what Sector your character is in. This is first come first serve. However, if someone has reserved a Sector but haven’t made a form for it and you have, I’ll give that Sector to you.

E.g. Person 1 reserved Sector 1. Person 2 makes a form for Sector 1. I’ll give Sector 1 to Person 2

Lira rolled her eyes, both annoyed and frustrated - how secretive can that General be? "Northwest then. We'd probably want to start moving and follow.. uh.. Freyr..?" But he had already started moving before she could confirm his name. Shrugging at Shirin's statement and about to follow, she was slightly, just slightly, startled by the voice in the trees. It was the girl who had come before her. Who was she again..? There were so many but Shirin had cleared it up for her and dismissed the note of telling them her name. But she was right, names weren't important now. Only heading Northwest was.

Lira, after a slight moment of hesitation, flicked her ice cube towards Felicia. She seemed sweet and everyone absolutely adored her, though she was still wary of the.. Liongator? Well Shirin seemed friendly, and the animal-loving type. But trust wasn't gained: it was earned. And she was sure that the others knew the same after watching everyone slowly being strangled by the hands of death... No. It was over, but there was more to save.

And she was right, the General was incredibly secretive, only letting out small sentences of information, and that did spark a flame of both curiosity and suspicion. Put on a mask until you know who is your ally

"We take down the real entity then tackle the others, alright. I didn't get much of a chance to see them, nor do I have much knowledge of them, but could it be a possibility that it.. creates the other entities as weaker clones?"

By the sounds of it, all the 'members' had received a strange letter asking for them, their skills and their knowledge. Lira raised her eyebrows at Evangeline's comment before she disappeared towards the Oak tree. Cocky, really. But you're either cocky or shy, and shy was the first word than many would think of Lira after hearing her name. She soon joined Evangeline, Shirin and the General and, pleasingly, was not late.

"You kill'em before they kill you"

That made her smile, this time for real. It was comforting to hear sarcasm after nothing but blood, screaming and pain. Simple, really. You draw blood quickly - a clean kill - before they draw your blood. If it happens, you've only got to pray that you're death is quick.

Then everyone started to introduce themselves.

Why can’t we just discuss here? It’s an odd request but fine. Lira played out the scene in her head: the General had asked them to come to the tavern, and yet now he wanted to meet them at an oak tree? Strange.

She blinked calmly though admiring Shirin’s courage. If only she had some of that. True, she would be foolish and her cautiousness had done well to keep her alive, but if her personality was a little bolder, then maybe she’d get more.. difficult tasks done. “Yes. I’m going.”
