 Her fingers twitched with anticipation. She didn't want to kill, it was more of an adrenaline rush for the hunt, for the adventure. Many others had suggested for her to join them, for there was strength in numbers. But she knew that she was better than all of them combined. She wouldn't call herself cocky, because she was just a simple loner anyways. Her skin seemed to shimmer as she basked in the sun. She gazed at her wrist, where her birthmark popped out with it's green swirls and lustrous shine. She knew it wasn't a normal birthmark, but there was no explanation as to what is was, what it meant, and where it came from. All she knew was that whenever she touched her fingertips to it, her body had always filled with so much power that it was terrifying at times. She wondered if there were things other than Demons, because surely if they were real, it left open the possibility of other things... right? [Read more] |

The wind seemed to be carrying me towards my fate, for wherever I followed, I gained the info I needed. I have been searching for the same monster that killed my mother, Amaryllis, when I was just a child. I scowled, even though on the inside I was satisfied with my findings. I ran the tip of my finger across my blade, admiring its forgery. I bit my bottom lip, thinking about all the demons I came across. Boy, there was such a variety of them. From ones with wings to ones with fins, I had fought many. Though, occasionally, I would find demons who didn't want to destroy. They merely liked to play their games, swearing that no human's life were to be harmed. I didn't believe them, of course, but soon it began to show. Some of the humans trusted these demons, regardless of their knowledge of how dangerous they were. It suprised me, of course, when I found a human paired with a demon, a pact of some sorts. I warned them many times that if this is the path they chose, then they would need to accept whatever happened to them in the end. I admired their bravery for fighting along side these demons... or was it stupidity? [Read more] |
