@Malware_Trojan The rules of religion have, ultimately, been changed. If you're saying religion should truly be applied, are you saying that we should reestablish slavery, too? There are many Christian passages that state that slavery is morally okay. Or would you decide not to, because western countries have told you that it is bad, and people are being genuinely harmed? There are many other rules that are neglected in modern religion because the times have changed, do your research. Timothy 2:12 "I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet" states that women cannot be teachers, but recent accomplishments in feminism have allowed them to apply for pretty much whatever job they'd like.

Corinthians 11:5 says "But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved" and yet many Christian women do not wear any sort of head covering.

Corinthians 11:4 says "Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head." and yet I have seen many men at church who wear head coverings like hats or hoods while praying.

I'll put other things you might want to follow in a spoiler, because there's far too many, and you seem to be very keen on religion!

Show hidden content

No mixed fabric in clothing. (Leviticus 19:19)

Haircutting and shaving is forbidden. (Leviticus 19:27)

Women or men that cheat on spouses should be put to death, along with their lover. (Leviticus 20:10)

.Anyone that practices any type of witchcraft, including psychics, should be killed. (Leviticus 20:27)

A pastor's (priest's) daughter who is very sexually active, should be burned at the stake. (Leviticus 21:9)

Disabled people, disfigured people, etc, are not to go to the Altar of God (Leviticus 21:17-18)

Cursing God or blasphemy is punishable by the whole community stoning the offender. (Leviticus 24:14-16)

And just for some more, I'll add some from the Quran in case you aren't Christian.

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:282 can be interpreted as stating that a woman is equivalent to half a man. Do you also believe in that?

Surah An-Nur 24:2 states that one who cheats on their partner must be whipped a hundred times. Do you also believe in such violence?

Surah An-Nisa 4:34 says that a final resort, if one's wife refuses to obey, is to discipline them with physical action (although, of course, it mentioned it being mild or "gentle", do you seriously condone abusing a wife if she refuses to obey?)

Surah Al-Tawbah 9:29 says that you must fight those who do not believe in Allah until they willingly pay a tax.. Does this include Christians and those who believe in Judaism, the same religions you seem to wish to apply?

Many of these rules are not followed now, and yet still in religious books. Hopefully you now understand why I'm saying the rules are constantly changing, and hopefully this has widened your knowledge and allowed you to properly ponder on your actions and what you're applying. If you disagree or questioned yourself with any of these, congratulations, there may be hope for you. Allow yourself to learn morals and empathy for other fellow human beings.

Many rules in popular modern religion have shifted to fit the standards of modern society's morality. I could go on and on about how people use religion as an excuse to shame what they don't understand and encourage what they like, but I'll move onto the next point.

You stated you're a minor, so I don't blame you for being so easily deluded by hateful and ignorant ideologies, just like what you've been saying. I wouldn't be surprised if you adopted these ideologies off social media after seeing homophobic and hateful posts. I was once like you, too.

You didn't have any counters for my previous points, so I'll assume that you already know that homosexuality is a natural occurence in many animals, and that you also did not respond to my point regarding the hypothetical situation in which your best friend is a homosexual—so I'll assume you'll also throw him aside with disgust. You also did not comment on how your prejudices are immoral, so I'll assume now that you, perhaps, are following religion without thought, and thus I'm sure typing all of this out will be pointless to you, because you may be reading this with your eyes open but your mind and heart closed.

I myself can say that LGBTQ+ is condoned by many people in the west because they have developed awareness to the situation of the LGBTQ+, its history, its development over the years and its sudden discrimination. Older gays lived in a time in which homosexuality was strongly discriminated against, and had to learn to accept themselves, and not through social media or "growing up with the fact that it's allowed". It wasn't. They were discriminated, hurt, bullied, abused, and disowned, simply for loving someone. How would you feel if you loved someone (in your case, of opposite sex), and got beat up, abandoned, mocked, and disowned by your family simply by them knowing you loved her?

Oh, and did you know that homosexuality existed far before even Christianity?

In ancient Greece, homosexual relationships were condoned and even normal amongst even the most masculine of men. In ancient Rome, it was the same thing, with the added condition that it was fine as long as they were "dominant". In feudal Japan (roughly the Edo period), homosexuality was also normalized between samurai and their younger apprentices. And my personal favorite, imperial China, in which the term "cut sleeve", for homosexuals, originated because of the sweet story of an emperor who did not want to awake his sleeping male lover who was resting on his sleeve, and thus cut it so that he would not wake up so soon. Just a little fun fact to lighten the mood. It's one of my favorite little tales.

So back to you saying religion is everything. Define what you mean by religion. Are you only speaking of the most popular religions? If so, your logic is severely flawed and I'd like you to seriously rethink your ideology. If you're speaking of every single known and recognized religion (not just Christianity, Islam, and Judaism), then, pray tell, why are you only applying the ideologies that benefit your ignorance?

Gays are humans too. Queers are humans too. Lesbians are humans too. Bisexuals are humans too. Aromantics are human too. Asexuals are humans too. Transgenders are humans too. Or did you forget, because you were so focused on convincing yourself that someone's label is wrong? It's a little silly to me, really, but you could be nine for all I care, so I'm glad to open your eyes to other perspectives.

@Malware_Trojan Hi! I don't usually post in forums like this one, but I'd love to debate.

You mentioned that "from a religious and social perspective", being gay or lesbian is a "disgusting thing to do", and yet only basing that on the main three religions, each made with a certain concept of divinity. Rules can change over the years, so can translations be translated into something else, and people may ignore rules.

In the exact same book in the Bible relating to homosexual relationships, it was mentioned in Leviticus 11:7-11:8 that 11:7 - "And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you" and in 11:8, it says: "Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you."

So if this rule was stated in the exact same book as the one that calls man laying with man an abomination, why is it not enforced as strictly as it?

I won't be covering Islam or Judaism, as I'm not that well versed in that topic, and would prefer to debate relating to a religion that I used to be in.

You also mentioned the countries deluding us into believing the LGBTQIA+ is okay because that is what they have "put in your head". But even in the wild, with animals like penguins, giraffes, lions, albatrosses, and many more. If homosexual relationships are so unnatural, why do animals do them? They seem to have existed for a long time, and it doesn't seem like any of the other animals are calling them abominations or disgusting or filthy. They have no governments, or social medias, or pride parades! Surely the animals haven't been brainwashing each other!

People never choose the gender they love. You can't just pick and choose who you like. I'm sure you can agree with me on that, right? You can only choose to accept or deny it. If a man likes a man, he can choose either to accept it or deny it. He can choose to confess or never to say it. I'm sure if he chose to deny it or simply accept his feelings but never say them out loud, you would still treat him like a brother to you, pat him on the back, laugh and talk.

Nothing would change your friendship with him until he decides to say it, right? The only thing that'd change is your blind judgement of him. Imagine if he was your best friend, practically sobbing himself to sleep because he knows he'd never be loved by a man, because he, too, is a man.

Maybe he'd pretend to hate the LGBTQIA+, too, and mock them, just to try and feel better by secretly just expressing his self-hatred. If he were to tell you about his affections, would you not comfort him? Would you turn your back on him?

It's incredibly prejudiced to simply assume that homosexuality is immoral without considering the internal struggle with those going through repression, denial, or discrimination. Is it not more immoral to turn a blind eye at someone being discriminated against simply because they had a little crush? Is it not more immoral to join the herd and point and laugh at said person, who only tried to show love for someone of the same gender? Is that not the greater abomination? You tell me.

special mention, what Orca~ said was really true :)

︵︵ helpful tips for beginners(・ω・*)
bit of a long read, but i'd say it's worth it !
but if you still want to learn but don't want to read too much, i added a tl;dr bit after each point!

trading etiquette and tips

1. general trading etiquette

Show hidden content
maybe you saw a pretty cool looking shiny pokemon, or a lot of pokedollars for trade. before offering on something you want, check below the trade to see if the person left a comment about what they're looking for.
Quote from quick tips!some people put "LF" in their trade comment. "LF" simply means looking for! for example, someone sets up a trade of a shiny absol, and the comment beneath it is "LF nuggets, PD" that just means the trader is looking for nuggets and pd!

most of the time, traders are ONLY looking for what's specified in their trade comment. pokedollar, nuggets, gems, legendary summons, and mystery items are some of the common things being sought for in the gts!

but what if you don't have anything specified in the comment? what if the trader is looking for nuggets, but you don't have any to spare, but you could totally offer pokedollar instead?

don't immediately offer what isn't what they're looking for, instead, check the trader's profile if they are okay with being messaged (it could be in their profile page, likely as "palpads open, friendlist only" or "pms open". if they are open to you, you can send them a message about their trade to see if they're okay with what you're offering!
an example of such a message could be:
QuoteHi there! I hope it's not too much trouble, but I noticed your trade with 50 dragon gems. I'd love to offer for them, but I don't have any nuggets on me. Would you accept pokedollar for them instead?

feel free to add any details you'd like to the message as long as it's kind and courteous. make sure the subject is related to your message! something like "GTS Trade" or "Trade for _" would be fine! but why do we do this? because trades SPECIFICALLY stating that are looking for something may not accept your offer if it isn't what they're looking for. making it clear with the trader helps avoid misunderstandings and also helps negotiation!

here's a quicker section, though! don't lowball! now, what is lowballing, exactly? lowballing is offering something quite obviously not worth what a trade is (an example is offering 500 pokedollar under a pokemon that's worth 500,000.) but what if you don't know what something is worth? how do you stop lowballing if you don't even know how much to offer in the first place?

no need to worry! there are helpful resources like toothie's price check guide, although slightly outdated, it works well! you can also use stonks!
Quote from stonks linksitems
https://pokeheroes.com/stonks?i=
pokemon
https://pokeheroes.com/stonks?p=

but.. how do you use stonks? by simply entering the name of the pokemon/item! for shiny/mega-able/shadow types of pokemon, you'll need to add shiny/mega-able/shadow to the pokemon! like so:
Quotehttps://pokeheroes.com/stonks?p=shiny mega-able charizard

for items, just put the entire item name in! that way, you'll find out the worth of something in pokedollar, and then you can compare that to the worth of your items to see how much you need to give to have an equal offer!

another quick bit is never beg for items/pokemon! when you want something, you need to work for it. never spam someone's messages with "pls can i have _" or "pls can i have 500,000 pokedollar pls pls pls". simple reason why not to: it gets irritating to the users you are begging to, especially if they have "no begging for items" in their profile page.

summary: don't immediately offer if you don't have something a trainer is looking for. check their profile instead, and if it states or has their private messages/palpad open, then message them about your offer and see if it'll be fine with them. don't beg for items or pokemon, and don't lowball on items.

2. get more trades done!

Show hidden content
everyone wants to get their trades done, am i right? here are a few tips on getting them done more often! these aren't 100% guaranteed to work, but they're pretty effective (at least for me)

i. be clear with what you want!
do you want an assortment of random offers? pokedollar only? nuggets and pokedollar? good pokemon and pokedollar? or something ultra specific? make that clear in the "comment" when setting up your trade. just a simple "LF nuggets", "pokedollar" or "LF shiny lunala" can do the trick! it doesn't need to be too much!

ii. know worth!
different pokemon and items are worth different things. use stonks (mentioned in the previous tip), just scroll until you see the bits related to stonks, if you don't want to read the whole thing. offering something for an equal exchange makes it way more likely for people to make offers!

iii. private messages & palpad
ever seen someone say "pm to split" or "pp/pm" in their trade comment? that's reffering to palpads and private messages. the palpad is located in the top right bar. it's the red and white book looking icon! the private messages are located under the community tab, and sometimes on the top right side of the bar when you have a new private message.

you can keep these open so people can negotiate with you when you have a trade, especially trades with lots of items! "pp/pm to split" refers to letting users palpad or private message you to split the items in a trade.

summary: be clear with what you want and specify it in the trade comment when setting up trades, know the worth of what you're trading by using stonks (mentioned in previous tip, feel free to backread up until you spot a short tutorial to use stonks), and lastly, utilize private messages and palpad for trade negotiations and contacting for splitting items.

3. item market

Show hidden content
wanna make some quick pokedollar? i've got a couple tips.

i. sell low

players gravitate towards lower prices. the items that are priced lowest are shown first, above all others. when setting up an item trade, it'll show you the lowest price. setting your trades to be around 100-500 pokedollar makes it more likely for users to buy.

ii. bulk deals

stocking up on many of the same item can help you get more money. by selling 50 gems instead of five, people might choose to buy more, considering many users tend to buy items in bulk. you'll get bigger payouts!

summary: lower your item prices just a little bit, try and make sure that it's the lowest price offered. try to sell things in bulk for bigger payouts.

currently a work in progress!

guess who started talkin'...

category: music , movies warnings: slight spoilers (characters, songs, no major plot reveal)

Show hidden content

this isn't something i usually do, but gosh, i really have to start talking in this diary!!! so, i watched kpop demon hunters and boy oh boy it was genuinely so, so good? mainly the music. i'm not that much of a kpop fan (considering my music taste listed above this post, it's pretty obvious 😭) and yet "your idol" and "golden"? actually, scrap that, all of those songs were so awesome?

the choreography and animation too!! especially when huntrix was performing! the songs and the dancing really made it feel like i was watching the concert there too!! i know i've said this before, but golden was so good. unbelievably good.

honestly, i'd never have had watched this movie if i didn't see a good friend of mine mention it in his instagram note, set one of his accounts' icon to zoey, generally just seeming to enjoy it a lot? so hey, if you're reading this diary right now—thanks for that!! i had my doubts, sure, but the characters were artist eye candy and i must mention how awesome the songs were again...

maybe, just maybe, i could draw a little fan art of huntrix. just a little...

oh yeah, i forgot to mention! the story was also written pretty well. instead of infodumping a lot, they actually did do a lot of "show, don't tell" and that made me pretty pleased :)

it had its flaws, of course, being slightly cringy and all, but if you look past it, it's a really great movie. i watched it over 3 times now just to listen to the songs? i fear i'll be listening to them a lot more.
