	I think what Optimus means is that some avatars look great when they're full size, but since PalPad makes them exponentially smaller and also removes the animation, they don't always look as good. I'm neutral; I have no strong opinions either way, because a lot of images look smaller when shrunk down to the size a PalPad icon is. No big thing. [Read more]

I'm actually really against this.

My primary reason falls under the "this is going to scare off newer users" thing. A lot of people find it daunting, even intimidating, to assimilate into a large and growing community. As someone who suffers from anxiety in large portions of my life, I can tell you I absolutely would not stay on a site that "quizzed" me on the rules, because from that point forth I would be terrified of breaking them in every single thing I did throughout my interactions on the site. I doubt I would be the only one.

Additionally, I don't think it will serve the purpose it is proposed for.

From what I'm understanding, the majority of people are unhappy about the begging PMs/messages. This is understandable. I completely sympathize with that. However, quizzing someone on the rules is not going to stop them from begging, because 9 times out of 10, it's not a lack of knowledge of the rules that leads to that behavior; it's much more simply put as a complete disregard for said rules.

I think that adding a sticky warning on the forums would be more ideal, and less invasive, than a quiz. Similar to the "Did you know? You can use BBCodes [...]" message, only "Please remember all forum posts must obey the rules of PokeHeroes" with a link. A similar message could be popped up when you purchase a PalPad and maybe it could be possible to implement a system that if you abuse PalPad enough, you lose access to it.

Ultimately, my issue is the concept of a test. I agree drawing more attention to the rules is important, but I think a test will do nothing more than intimidate and chase away people.

reason why I want them to have one. She's my best friend and she's relatively new to PokeHeroes. She doesn't have any shinies or mega-ables yet (although she might by the 14th - since I'm hunting something that is mega-able) and within a week of joining, someone tried to take advantage of her and sell her something massively over-priced. Someone doing something nice to counter-act that would be awesome.
