Tawny popped up out of the tall grass shortly after Luna, with a bit of debris sticking out of her hair as she lifted one hand to pull out a twig. “I should’ve stuck with you guys, I’m not strong enough to battle a flock.. Of..” She trailed off upon spotting the hand-holding and gaped for a moment before shaking herself. “A flock of Wingull. Oh, marshmallows?”

Pech, who’d recently evolved into a Pikachu, let out a cheerful chirp of agreement.

Tawny stood in Petalburg city with Pech, who had evolved into a Pikachu during a previous battle against a trainer. She was on her Pokédex, scrolling through the entries. She’d managed to catch a Poochyena too, though it was currently unnamed.

Oh well. She closed her dex down and stretched, reaching up to pat Pech before walking out of the city and onto the next route.

	Tawny exited the Pokémon center and yawned, rubbing her eyes with her diss as she made her way toward Anisa. “Hi. Morning.” She greeted tiredly. “Oh,” Tawny fell silent and just nodded along, watching Jona get up to battle. She found herself stuck on his words, though she didn’t need to question it. She understood well enough, despite having a great family life.

She did, however, catch the comment about her and Anisa being too young and offered Anisa a quick thumbs up in agreement. “Dang right.” Pech squeaked and stuck out her tongue at her trainer.

“Woah,” Tawny’s response may not have been as cheerful or happy as Cherry’s had been, but it didn’t stop the excited sparkle in her eye from appearing. “It’s so different. ‘Where people mingle with nature’, huh? Wonder what that means?” She hummed. Pech squeaked in agreement, clapping her paws together excitedly.

Even with the slightly wind, her hair remained pulled back in a ponytail, though a few loose strands in front of her face fluttered in the breeze.

Pech was still gripping her shoulder, one paw buried in the girl’s hair as she gripped on to avoid falling off.

The Pichu accepted the hat with a squeak, placing it on her head proudly while flicking her tail playfully.

“Uhh, she’s a girl, no name yet, politics scare me, my hopes and dreams include getting a comfier mattress and finding good shellfish, and nice to meet you!” Tawny said in a rush, eyes wide with confusion as she watched the two kids in front of her. “I’m Tawny, I like electric types, I hope you manage to become a gym leader!” She added cheerfully. “..
