Seeming a bit deflated by the response they got, they stood in dwelling silence for a minute as they watched Joy hug the knight lady. "Of course I know where Noah is, I just wanted to ask- HUH" Almost like some starving Victorian child their train of thought stopped immediately at the mention of a donut, reaching their arm out and giving a single, desperate grabby hand. "Please... I owe you... Everything... Kind Lady" Their worries had distracted them from the fact that they ate two whole tarts as breakfast and nothing else. (not even water hydrate quing </3)

Ava stopped by the start of the hallway leading to the door Noah and the King are presumably behind, taking a moment to stare at it. They worried for a moment again, thinking Noah is taking a tad bit too long, but shook their head. He wouldn't be hurt. They continued walking around and admiring whatever bit of architectural details they hadn't noticed before. "That is. Pretty cool ooh" They started speaking to themselves as they appreciated the intricate carvings in some wooden frames "So Cool... Okayy this is not working" They fixed their posture and shook their head again, then putting their hand up to their chin and tapping with their finger. Maybe going outside for some fresh air or something would help, at least that's what the wise old people say anyway, they thought. To them they thought very well and wisely as well.

They jumped out of one of the windows, probably alarming a guard or two, though quickly the insufferable jingle that comes from Ava calms them down. They ran into the heart of the city to really take in the bustling atmosphere, they thought perhaps the busier it is the easier it'd be to unwind and ignore their mind. They thought right. Upon stopping they took a deep breath to channel that story protagonist feel into them and looked again, this time noticing the weird cirque-type atmosphere going on a bit further. "Huh, that's weird." They looked around "You!" They yelled and pointed at a random poor lady, now about to be a victim of their presence. "Do you know what's up with that whole. Thing going on there?" They, still yelling, moved their arm to point at the circus tent. The woman looked at them in confusion and mild horror before shrugging and then speed walking away. "Strange. Not affected by my charm, must be something about her. Or she just really doesn't know" They thought on this for a minute before deciding only the Gods knew (she just didn't know). They started scanning the place again for any familiar face, turning around in a circle.

"AHA, royal kids!" They started skipping towards Joy and Esmerelda upon noticing them minding their own business, maybe they knew something about a new clown stealing their spotlight. They probably did not.

Ava had gotten too restless at this point and pressed their ears against the door again, but sadly couldn't catch anything. This time they started to worry about the lack of noise coming out. They knew the king could have some spell that keeps things quiet but they couldn't figure out why he would want to use it. They knew they can't barge into the room uninvited to find out, either. They weren't really presented with any choice other than to wait, though they didn't want to stand around the door like some lost puppy as it would destroy their nerves more. After a bit of pondering while they rocked back and forth they decided to go back to their Silly Chamber to do something they knew would get them distracted, if even just a little.
They stretched their arms and walked over to a corner in the room, almost teeming with blankets and tapestries on the floor, which would be the case for the entire room if no one convinced them to tidy it up a tiny bit. The corner had a little cushion plopped in the middle with a very small table in front of it, setting a candle, a bottle of ink and a quill. They opened their bag and dug inside to get a piece of paper, starting to flap it around to get the glitter off. They hadn't thought about how this entire operation would leave the floor. Glitterful. "Oh sh... fiddle.. sticks" They kicked the glitter off a little and scattered it around more widely so it seemed less messy, but that is relative. Nonetheless they continued, closing the door and any curtains in the room. They sat on the pillow, lighting the candle on, and then put the paper on the table and started writing.

It seemed whatever they were writing did let off a load in their chest. They looked over the letter once and twice, adding little hearts around the glitter that couldn't get off the paper. A perfect touch-up. "Great, awesome, exquisite." They whispered to themselves and sighed, then stretching their back. "Gods I should work on my posture" They rubbed their back and sat up, very less hunched, now. They stared at the letter again and brought their right hand over it. With a deep breath, they flicked their index finger against their thumb and the letter floated for a second, engulfing itself in a tiny purple-pink flame, which spread from the corners to the center, and disappearing after it was all 'burned'. They knew it was considered too early for this in their schedule but they couldn't get things off of their mind otherwise. This may be helpful to him, too, so they just shrugged the weird timing off. They'd all understand.
They blew out the candle, got up and opened their curtains again. Another deep sigh escaping their chest, they went to walk around the castle again. They were still a little fidgety and maybe this could get them back to themselves.

After they noticed their efforts seemed fruitless, Ava decided they will give up on this for now. They made their way back to their Silly Chamber to get their hat back, putting it on, and then walking back but slower. They looked around the hallways, whether to reminisce or just to be more careful after hearing about the threats even they couldn't figure out. Once they've gotten back to the door that closed on them they stood there, fidgeting.

Ava was about to butt in before they witnessed the door shut in their face. They stood still for a minute, taken aback by the sheer Audacity. They decided to try and eavesdrop instead, pressing their ear against the door thinking that the fact their ears were slightly pointy would aid them in any way but, alas, their hearing was still offensively terrible. They could catch some very muffled noises and they kept there until they couldn't hear anything for a small period of time. Letting out a tiny groan they knocked on the door.
"Hey!! Hello!!! Hiii!!!!" They thought maybe them yelling would be a great impression to let them in.

Ava was about to fully lose their focus, not knowing how to react to Noah now. They were usually impulsive but not when it's something this personal, they kept thinking. But before they could even try to approach Noah, he had already left the room and they finally found something to do. The answer to them was clear this time, they only knew to chase the Prince.

"wHAT HAPPENED TO THE CODE?" They ran behind Noah and tried to catch up.

Ava crossed their arms and stood against the door frame, watching everything happen now. Or barely watching- they were visibly lost in their own head at this point, furrowing their brows and staring at the floor with their eyes jumping from spot to spot every now and then. They didn't even notice the messenger appear the first time but on the second visit they caught what it said, shaking their head and finally looking up. They leaned closer to the messenger with a small smile "Ohh is he in trouuble?" Without waiting for an answer, they yanked the bottom of their makeshift coat and went inside the room to talk to Noah.
"Hey, daddy issues," they got closer and flicked his temple but not too hard as to not make it hurt "chop chop, you can forget those papers for a second you know. They're not going to run away" they crossed their arms again and stood next to the Prince.

I thought it was a bit too much," They shrugged "but I can't judge." They brought their left arm up to their head and spoke as Tabby "He's becoming just like his brother!" "Wow. Rude. But true (😔)" They shook their head "I really hope he comes back to earth soon enough"
