Title: Pokémon Shuffle Tips! (#1)

(The following has been copied AND re-worded from one of my Tumblr accounts. the purpose of this post is to help other people who plays Pokémon Shuffle.)

Ruby Mewtwo here! And welcome to my helpful and long post!

This is the version to those who did not pay a nickel in this game. [there are parts for those who pay to advance, as well. Money does NOT help you bulldoze everything. Strategy is your friend, too.]

*Stuck at a “jerk boss” like Mega Glalie, Mega Gengar, or Mega Mewtwo Y? Do yourself a favour and grind-train for your Coins until you have enough for the following:

-Mega Start (2000 Coins)
-Disruption Delay (1500 Coins)
-Moves +5 (800 Coins)
-Complexity -1 (9000 Coins. Costly, but very effective. Don’t you just hate those Eevee, Glaceon, or Espeon cluttering your board? Yeah, this is your best weapon against them. Seriously.)
-the feeling of accomplishment after beating those bosses WITH an S rank? (priceless)

The bonus thing of money-grinding for these bosses is that the Pokémon you will be using to battle against the upcoming bosses will level up!

*Speaking of Coins…
-be a smart person and collect your Daily Coins. Cannot stress that enough.
-EVERY WEEKEND that there is something called Meowth’s Coin Mania. You take advantage of that.
***For maximum advantage, spend the 800 Coins to add five moves. Seriously, you’ll profit from the additional five moves.
***During Coin Mania, that you make some real wicked combos. Why? The more combos, the more coins Meowth will give you! Keep that in mind due to that kitty pops up once a day.

Got past Mega Mewtwo Y? Congrats! There is a Mega-Evolved Pokémon that has one of THE MOST AMAZING ABILITIES EVER. I kid you not.
It’s AERODACTYL.
I know that there are “nay-sayers” on that fossil Pokémon, but its ability is BEASTLY. Especially at Pedra Valley. Those Pokémon LOVE to use various blocks and barriers to tick you off (ESPECIALLY Braixen).
Heck, you can use Mega Aerodactyl and its ability against that foe Mega Aerodactyl to have a taste of its own medicine! (to get that S rank. S Ranks are important if you want to unlock and catch cool Pokémon like Yveltal and Mewtwo.)
To those who does not know, Mega Aerodactyl‘s Mega Effects - as quoted by the game itself - “Erases rocks and blocks (max 10), and also does damage to the foe.”.
This means, that whatever rock and block the foe has in the game field, Mega Aerodactyl takes those back, and tosses them to the foe! Letting its teammates do some awesome combos to complete the Level.
Have a problem with Blaziken at the Expert Room? Mega Start your Aerodactyl and watch Blaziken kiss its featherly butt goodbye as those blocks are converted to STAB damage to it!

Okay, that is enough praise one of my favourite Megas, now onto another important part…
-ALWAYS LEVEL UP YOUR POKÉMON. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.
WHY? That is easy - there will ALWAYS be Pokémon that will challenge you. Whether it be a Legendary Event [UGH, REGIROCK…] or just a tough one.
-But never fear, if you unlock Pedra Valley, there is a Pokémon that is an EXP. TANK.
-SNORLAX. That Pokémon is VERY GENEROUS with EXP., win or lose.
***To take maximum advantage of Snorlax’s EXP. generosity, that you gotta have a couple of Fighting type Pokémon as part of your Team. Sure that the level is a massive *55* turns, but it’s worth it. That is why that I have over a dozen Level MAX Pokémon in hand.

Got Jewels from bosses? Great! Just be a smart person and save up to 12 for maximum advantage. I would suggest spending them on Hearts. UNLESS you REALLY need to use them (for something like getting into the top 20,000/30,000/50,000 for a Mega Stone you did not have yet, and you are pretty broke to spend on that awesome Complexity -1), then go for it.

ALSO, already got that Lucarionite the first time? I would suggest that you do not be a greedy dirtbag and slip below 30,000[or whatever it is in your part of the world] for that free Jewel. So others can get the Mega Stone, as well.

Have you been so terribly stuck at a Pokémon, that you think that you’ll just GIVE UP?
DON’T. There are videos on YouTube that you can watch that will help you with your Pokémon woes (those are usually uploaded by people who “pay to advance quicker”. Take advantage of those.). I used that strategy on how to get that annoying Regirock! Which leads to another tip:

READ your Pokémon’s abilities!
Yup, strategy is key in Shuffle. There are stages that you cannot just bulldoze over. Some stages require you to think. Sure, that some Pokémon are not the “most powerful”, but they sure come in handy. So, take some time to read what ability which Pokémon that you have to win those tricky stages.
