A shiny mega is something special, a user has to work hard for. It's not guaranteed, it takes alot of patience, but the joy of hatching one is incredible if it happens. Making it guaranteed would not only take away the surprise and happiness of hatching one, it would make it something that isn't special anymore. If this would be implemented, the site would be flooded with easy rarity shiny megas like Gengar and Pidgeot, because the eggs can be bought for 5+5 gems each. That means you get a shiny mega for every 1000+1000 gems, and 1000 gems of one kind is super easy to collect. (of course, except dragon). Suddenly these shiny megas wouldn't be worth anything anymore. Some things on this page are rare and thats good. If you make anything easily accessible, it would take away the fun of this game for alot of people. For the argument that people spend months on chains with thousands of eggs and its exhausting: Yes it is. I spend over a year hatching thousands of eggs but in the end it was worth it. And I did it very inefficiently. Sometimes people have bad luck, but thats life. You can't tell the lottery to make every 100th ticket you buy a guaranteed jackpot of 1000 dollars. This suggestion wouldn't help low-level non premium users either. The 'richer' premium users can easily aquire more gems than anyone and would get even richer with getting multiple guaranteed shiny megas, while the newer users can't really make a use of this. I understand why this would be useful for some users, but I still see alot of reasons why I don't support this suggestion. And it's not because I don't want others to get SM. I am happy for anyone who has the luck to hatch one. [Read more] |
