“Why do you lie, lie, lie to me?~” Echo asked, singing softly. “Stop rejecting your emotions. Your past has messed with your instincts. Change them, you’ll see. It’s a different world you’re in. Leave that cage you dwell in, they’ve already opened it for you! Why then, are you still lingering inside?” Li Fei asked.

Echo opens her mouth, and sings, her eyes softening in understanding.

A free bird leaps
on the back of the wind
and floats downstream
till the current ends
and dips his wing
in the orange sun rays
and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks
down his narrow cage
can seldom see through
his bars of rage
his wings are clipped and
his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of another breeze
and the trade winds soft through the sighing trees
and the fat worms waiting on a dawn bright lawn
and he names the sky his own

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

“You, are indeed smart. But I lie carefully, my emotions can also be riddled with deceit. But truth will be truth, it can never be a lie. It just depends on how truthful you are. Your perspective may vary, but broken down to it’s core, it’s very similar. Overanalysing? Impossible, It’s just that some foolish minds fail to comprehend the vastness of the thought, and ideas flowing so intricately, tangled within one another. You have no idea what you’re saying? I think that may be a unconscious lie, my dear” Li Fei replied, passing her lollipop stick to Echo. Echo finished her lollipop, before breaking the sticks, and creating a indistinct figure with it.

“That’s true, it’s unwise to reveal all your secrets at once” Echo replied, flipping over the lollipop and biting down harshly. “Once again, it depends. What can you infer from my remarks? Surely there’s truth, a hint of confusion! Or perhaps fear, and awe? Or maybe anger and disgust! It’s up to you.” Li Fei responded, twirling around, before taking a bite out of the floating orb she spontaneously conjured.

The pair took the lollipops gratefully. “Fanks” Echo replied, ripping the wrapper off and sucking the opposite end, the stick, while giving confused glances as people glanced at her. “Thank you, Zahara. You’re not from that....school are you? It’s just a cover act, right?” LiFei mumbled so only Echo and Zahara could hear her. Unwrapping her own, she stuck the lollipop into her mouth, biting at the stick, a nasty habit of hers. “You sound like a mom, though.” One of them remarked, though it was unclear who.

Li Fei bows, in mock respect. She walks over to Echo, giving her a hug, before blatantly pointing to Zahara. “She’s a opponent, with the powers of emotional manipulation. She can also sense emotions, but can only do one at a time. She’s in a fake relationship, a fake school, but her partner seems to love her. She’s horrible at lying, that’s another thing” She states. Echo simply continues her staring, but acknowledges Li Fei. “May I have a lollipop?” She asks blandly.

Echo simply stared at Zahara, observing her facial features, her body features, etc. she was memorizing their emotional profiles, physical, and in Mare and Yurei’s case, spiritual profiles. Meanwhile Li Fei lets out a maniacal giggle. “oh hiiiiiii~ I didn’t see you there? How’s it going?” She asks, politely, but with the slightest hint of psychopathy. “You interrupted my moment with my sister. I’m sad” she giggled, pouting, having more than four emotions all at once, as Echo sighed in slight exasperation at Li Fei’s antics

“Li Fei, Echo Darkstar.” They heard their names in the distance, so Echo teleported them right behind the mayor, stabbing a knife into their piece of paper, pinning it to the floor. “Arsloch—“ Li Fei swore, sticking her [you know which finger] at the mayor. The pair of them giggled, Li Fei bringing Echo into a hug. “Good job~” Echo replied in a sing song voice, placing a knife in Li Fei’s hair, “tying” it up neatly. “Weren’t you—“ “No, I volunteered privately in place of her” She responded, as Echo smacked Li Fei in retaliation. “You never told me” she hissed. “Oh shush” Lifei replied.

“Anyways, did you notice them? The love is.....kindling. I have no idea how it’ll play out, She’s trying to stamp out the flames, but it may only grow brighter” Lifei mumbled, tilting her chin towards Zahara, her eyes glinting with mischief, yet her mind clouded with suspicion

Lifei watched, as Zahara dragged the poor boy into the crowd. “This isn’t true love” Echo mumbled, walking up to Lifei. “I know.....it’s suspicious...oh her powers definitely have something to do with emotions. The way she turned and fled, the minutes he noticed me staring. And how she tensed up, the minute I started staring, and my emotions started spiking negatively. Just look at the way she moved, her shoulders rigid, turning stiff, and her face change ever so slightly. Her posture betrays her.” Lifei whispered to Echo, as the two followed, this time just with their eyes, Echo could teleport them nearer once the need arose.

Echo and Lifei followed Zahara from a distance. Well....mainly Lifei, as she had certain....questions about Zahara. Echo was reluctantly tagging along, carrying both their bags as she looked on in exasperation. Lifei had observed many, many things, and one to which was that some people in the crowd had special powers. Some form of manipulation, may it be weather, emotions, mind or such. Echo woke up, turning to see the cold, empty bedsheets beside her. “Lifei?” She called, wondering where she had gone. The girl in question, Lifei, stuck her head out from the kitchen, holding a glowing, floating orb in one hand, and a bowl of oats in the other. “Yes? I woke up earlier to prepare breakfast, yours is on the table. I know you can’t cook” the last sentence added on playfully. Echo groaned, before throwing a pillow at Lifei. “Bastard.....” Echo mumbled, as Lifei turned to leave. “Hey! I heard that! That’s not nice, I made you breakfast!” Lifei yelled, as Echo rolled her eyes, getting out of bed, and preparing for the selection or whatever it was called. “You ready?” asked Echo, as she packed her stuff, and Lifei’s into separate bags, as Lifei went looking for her missing sock. “Ready as I’ll ever be” Lifei replied shortly, as the two set out, seeing this...girl in a high end college uniform? Looking extremely out of place, with a few wary people watching? over her.

Character's appearance (use an image if desired): same red hair and black eyes, with a pink butterfly clip in her hair, and a half heart ring on her finger, her fiancé has the other part of the ring.

Power: Umbrakinesis, which allows her to teleport, create illusions and (with much strength and stamina wasted, she can harm others with her laser/web like shadows, which take around two hours to recharge)

What did your character do for a living before the Hunger Games (school, work, ect): taking a degree in chemical engineering

Name: Li Fei
Character's appearance (use an image if desired): jet black hair that is unbelievably straight, always let down. she wears a black hood and tattered clothing splattered with blood. She wears a belt with a pouch, and inside is a variety of items. She too, has a butterfly hair clip in her hair, except it’s blood red in color.

Status: alive
Power: “grim reaper” she can possess souls, making the particular person do whatever she wants, basically controlling them like dolls. She can also do a double soul attack, where she possesses one of them, and whatever she makes one of them do, the other will be forced to do it as well. However, with enough incentive, she switches to a new method, where she can reach a “hand” into their soul, and crush it, manipulate it, and destroy it. Killing off a soul does not mean she has killed them. They simply live on, as a emotionless, husk of a human, a shell of what they once were, with no personality whatsoever.

I’ve got red in my ledger, and my kill count grows higher and higher per day.” The word seemed so unfamiliar, so.....wrong on her tongue. Echo simply climbed aboard quietly, gazing at everything, taking in the happy reunions, and the well.....characters with nightmares or whatever. Mentally unstable. She honestly couldn’t care less, whether she was out or not. She created a shadow wave, preparing to leave. She knew Charlie was happy now, and that hopefully Milo and Lucky would keep everyone safe. But she didn’t belong, didn’t fit in with the crowd. So she prepared to leave. Back to her old assassin life again. She let out a deep sigh.
