UMBERCLOUD It was true. Umbercloud had no clue what the final say would be; it wasn't her choice to make overall. But regardless of what decision was made, some cats would protest no matter what. It was about finding the best option for IceClan's survival, whatever that ended up being. "I have a feeling we may be leaving, though." MUSHROOMPAW "Yeah! I sure hope it warms up. I 'unno if my little paws can take it anymore," she mewed to Mothpaw and Bearpaw. "I just hope that we don't go numb before the next moon passes. I kinda like bein' able to touch rocks." UMBERCLOUD Umbercloud stayed out of the Warriors' den for a mere moment. Making sure that every cat was getting safely to their dens, using her large stature to let those with shorter legs sit on her back as she acted as a ferry back and forth. The bitter cold nipped at her snout and paws, and she knew she'd be going numb if she remained out in the cold any longer. But what choice was there? "At this rate, the fresh-kill pile is going to be empty for moons," she grumbled to herself, tail twitching irritably. Her ears pinned back against her head, and she tucked into her mane, trying to think of what she could do. MUSHROOMPAW "Ah, gee, that ain't good," she meowed. The snow was getting heavier, and her short legs could only get her so far before she was practically drowning in snow. Not literally, but certainly close to it. But she pressed on, finally able to escape her freezing semi-prison and making her way to the Apprentices' den, where she began to lap at her freezing pelt to try to get warmth back into her legs. However, they didn't want to mope around. After what felt like hours of screaming into a pillow to get the remaining frustration out, the newspaper editor was finally free to just.. hang out. Matsuki went to the kitchen, having every intention of making coffee for themself. It wasn't for the caffeine--not primarily, anyways. They really just missed the taste, even if it wasn't as good as hot chocolate. After what felt like an eternity, Matsuki had a mug of coffee, deciding to sit down at one of the tables and read over their investigation findings. Both from the first case and from exploring their surroundings. A few things were added as Matsuki took some time to think. - Will never figure out the dagger thing. Convinced that Mono-Freak helped. - Execution here counts as cruel and unusual punishment. Could take this place to court after I get out of here. - Locate any info on Junko Enoshima. - Find allies. Justice was justice, and in the eyes of society, this would be the normal punishment. It wasn't as if they believed the death penalty was necessary; in fact, being shut up in a prison cell to rot for eternity seemed like a more appropriate sentencing for such a hideous crime. But what's done is done, and they can't exactly change the past. ..They feel empty. It was like the void had clawed its way into their heart, and now they were doomed to feel blank.
