Elli smiled, reminded of the bad situation but focusing more on her humor. He looked up at the sky and wondered if the others had been gone long. Or if they didn't make it out there.
He ground his teeth together and turned back to Ivy to ignore his intrusive thoughts. "How'd you learn to snipe?" He asked, the first thing that came to his mind.

Her gray ears pinned back and she nudged her glasses up her nose. The woman sat her down and inspected it for a second before nodding and turning around to dig through supplies.
"The wound doesn't seem quite as deep near the right eyelid. That being said, I can't guarantee that your eyesight will be affected. It's best to wait until after it heals," she lightly cleaned up the blood on her skin with a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol.
"For now I'll just make sure that it doesn't get infected--it'll most likely scar, I'm sorry about that, dear." She sighed and began the healing process.

Jinx only nodded and hoped that Crystal would be true to her word.

Wither's attention gravitated to the sharpness of the needle immediately and she was remembered how much she disliked being around doctors. Sharp points or blades meant conflict and pain to her--growing up in war, everything was more or less used as a weapon; the times that her father had brought her to do business in the experiment labs were, frankly, a rather negative influence on her perception of the world.
"Of course," she said, forcing any strain that threatened to rise in her voice back. Wither stood up straight next to the bed, Void following so he could comfortably curl around her ankle. She realized she was tense and quickly regained her composure.

Adeline perked up in surprise when Glacier spoke to her. She looked over her shoulder and smiled, "Anytime." She pulled out another cup from the cupboard and carefully poured it, setting the cup near him on the table. Knowing that he preferred to be alone, but glad that he had made an effort to speak to her, Adeline walked out of the kitchen and back into the living room.

Dawn shook her head, trying to keep herself from demeaning Maxwell for acting as if he knew everything. "Jasper has no intent for Fallow. You... just happened to be an unprecedented asset that he suddenly decided he had a use for," she said with an apologetic tone. Her fingers instinctively crept up her face to rub her temple as she attempted to unravel the situation before her. She took a minute to do so before finally deciding to focus on the moment.
"Are you hungry, Maxwell? I can fix you something from the kitchen or produce some fruit if you'd like."

Mavis listened to Xena and tried her best to associate what was given with her friends. She drew a blank on the boy and the human girl--she figured Xena must have found another Fantasy in the area--but deduced that the girl was probably Skye. Mavis tenderly patted Xena's head before demounting and creeping in through the back door. Gazes turned to meet her and Robin approached since Marshall was preoccupied with Viola. The room darkened when she entered it.
"Hey," he greeted softly. His eyebrows were furrowed; he could tell something was wrong just by looking at her.
"I didn't find Maxwell, nor any trace of him..." she looked at her feet, "but something important came up and I need to go for a little bit. I don't want to alert anyone but I need to get control of my powers and I kinda have to go away to do it. I didn't want to disappear without saying anything."
His eyes widened, "A-are you sure? Mavis, if you need help, there are other Darkness Fantasies here that I'm sure can give you advice--"
"It's okay, I... found someone to help me. I'll be back. Thank you." She slipped back out the door before he could argue.

Jackson's strong too, he thought, bringing his thumb up to his chin with worry. The town was on its way to darkness but Rain nudged Scarlet lightly and sat against a tree away from the contaminated one. He finally let himself yawn, Crimson watching with large curious eyes, and lightly beckoned Scarlet to sleep next to him.
Reign simply sat in close proximity to Crimson, hunched over his knees with his the handle of his sword resting on his knees. His face was devoid of emotion and he seemed to be inspecting the tree that Jackson had thrown water at with intensity.

Crysia nodded in agreement, gathering her things and throwing her cloak hood over her head. She outstretched her wrist for Celestial to perch on and smiled softly at Percy and Jackson. "I'll see you around. You're good company," she said and made her way out the door.

He nodded. "Yeah. Finally got some sleep... it's a bit weird to think about the situation we've gotten ourselves into. Honestly, it makes me sad just thinking about it," Elli admitted, gazing out of the cave. He snapped back into reality and pushed the idea of impending doom to the back of his head, turning to look at Ivy and mustering a smile.
"How are you?" He asked, brightening his tone.

Sensing that he was bored, Allium slowly sat up and looked towards the door. "Mmm. My parents worked in the government as well. I don't know about Nature dragons, but it's quite a time-consuming job--perhaps a bit too much to accommodate for a child," she said, regretting mentioning her parents the moment she said it.
"Anyways, it smells like Adeline made some tea. I'm off to explore," she said, popping herself off the bed to leave him in his boredom.

"We're here," Jack said when they were just inches from the door. Surprisingly, nobody else had stopped them on the way; it wasn't the most crowded area and people seemed to mind their own business in the canine kingdom. Jack figured that they had seen their fair share of violence. The door creaked as he pushed it open, but triggered a satisfying bell ring that made the old woman behind the counter look up to give them attention.
Most apothecaries in the poorer areas tended to also act as hospitals; Jack didn't have enough time to waste stressing about the worst case scenario. "U-um, hi," he said to the woman, whose ears pinned back. She walked up to them.
"I'll fix you right up, darling. You're not hurt, correct?" She said, clucking her tongue with pity and lightly putting her hands on Crystal's shoulders as she looked at Jack through her wire-framed glasses.
"N-no. Just her."
"Sit right down, then." The woman ushered Crystal off to another room.

Jinx chuckled softly and leaned on the counter. "I'm sorry, but you just get so flustered! It's like you've never been complimented before--it's absolutely adorable," she teased lightly. Her face grew a little bit more serious, "Although, just to put it out there, I wouldn't go after Felix. He's a flirt, but I would keep up a guard so he doesn't play with your heart."

"Better than worse is definitely a good thing," Wither justified, smiling softly at her. She looked up at Lucius and listened to what he had to say--she was getting used to him, slowly (Void, on the other hand, was not, judging by the way he stiffened when Lucius got close). She nodded in agreement, "It's been a long day for him as well, even without the romantic drama."

"It's dangerous for you, and I'm terribly sorry but I can't tell you why. If Jasper knew that you knew anything about... well, anything, he'd kill you on the spot. The only thing keeping you alive is that you're viable for interrogation." She sighed and cupped her hand over her cheek, clearly morally stressed. Her voice was strained, "I can't let you do that, Maxwell. I'm so sorry, but that would make things much worse both for you and especially for Fallow. It's in everyone's best interest that I get you out of here tomorrow." Dawn was too fixated on Maxwell to even notice Justin.
"Look, I know that's hard for you to hear. But I can't let you get hurt again, does that make sense? And I hate to say it, but any more interference will hurt Fallow, too."

Mavis placed her hands in front of herself, feeling the softness of Xena's fur. "Have you... talked to anyone else?" She asked, realizing that she was the only other beast that she had seen since coming across the cabin beside Tempest.

Elliot rubbed his eyes from sleep and slowly sat up. His head was still spinning and his heart was racing from a nightmare he could hardly remember now. He ran his hands through his hair a couple of times to fix it and pulled his scarf over his mouth, sitting in deep contemplation and wallowing in the lasting negative emotions that his nightmare had left him until he realized that Ivy was walking towards him. "G'morning," he said, his voice muffled by the scarf.

Crimson rolled onto his stomach, still floating. There was a small, hardly noticeable sense of mischief in his eyes that drew Rain's attention. "Is he telling the truth?" He asked him, almost with a tone of fear.
The vampire perked up in surprise when Rain spoke to him, which faded into a straight face and an uncharacteristic thumbs-up. Reign crossed his arms and furrowed his eyebrows, looking back and forth between his brother and Crimson. Rain shrugged, "I just want Crysia to be safe."

"Only a few more weeks and we'll never have to deal with a corrupt officer again," Jack replied, mumbling back to her as if paranoid even in the midst of nowhere. He swished his tail rhythmically as they walked. "How are you feeling?... Does it... hurt less?"

She told him and sat the medication in a bag in front of him. Jinx's eyes sparkled with interest when she saw Willow's bashfulness. "You'd better not be planning on stealing my assistant, Felix. I'd be lost without her," she said teasingly, although a small part of her spoke the truth--at this point, Jinx could spot a gang worker from a mile away. Felix had never talked about it, but he had that certain sense of danger; Jinx was determined to keep Willow from another incident.

"Oh, right. I forgot... gosh, darkness dragon attacks surely seem to send people to Adriane, don't they?" She sighed, clasping her hand on her shoulder. "She's a hell of a healer, though. Even compared to some of the other ones I've seen," Allium complimented, looking up towards the ceiling.

"No, no. You didn't," Wither said, watching Kurai walk off and suppressing anger from him walking away from her when she was in a time of need. "I wasn't told exactly what happened, but when I saw Kali and him together, there was an air of tenseness. I... don't think she has the same feelings for him." She looked down at Magnolia and lightly put her hand on her head. Her voice softened, "How are you feeling? Don't sit up if it's too much stress for your body."
Wither remembered Lucius and perked up slightly to tell him that Magnolia was awake.

"Hey, hey," Dawn said, steadily grabbing his attention and making eye contact with him. She let him burst out, understanding that he needed to release the onslaught of emotions; she glanced back quickly at Justin when he closed the door. Dawn brushed her fingers on the coarse dirt ground, slowly bringing to life a cotton plant. She extracted the cotton as she spoke, using her Nature to manipulate it into a somewhat sheet-like state.
"Breathe, kiddo. Look, I know you've been wronged--I'm sorry about Umbra, from the bottom of my heart. I really am. And I promise you that I will do everything I can to make sure that you're safe.
"I know that you love my sister, but I'm afraid that you can't take her back with you. It's too dangerous--it's a complicated situation, but I promise you that it's temporary and you two can be together soon." She put the cotton lightly against his cheek and, in the dark, took his hand and put it against it so that he could wipe his tears himself. "I brought her here alone for a reason. It's too dangerous for you to be here, and the more you know the more you become an important asset to Jasper. We'll get you out of here and back home tomorrow," she finished firmly.

Mavis, who was afraid that she would somehow lose Xena if she were to walk away from her, nodded and climbed onto Xena's back. At that moment, she began to think about her decision. We're not in a good situation, but... I don't want to freak anyone out. But if I stay here I'll hurt them... She thought.

"Scar, we hardly even stay in the same place for that long... I'm sure it won't be long until the Queen resituates us. By then, we'll be too far from this shelter to even have it make a difference," he mumbled, casting hostile side glances at Jackson. "I still... don't think we should trust him. He could just be luring us."

"You... still have the body of an eighteen-year-old?" Evie said sarcastically (though she wasn't quite sure how youth potions worked), looking down at Oliver and crossing her arms. Orion smiled at Dexter and knelt down to pick the boar up. It was a smaller boar, but he still managed to carry it in his arms much like one would carry a baby. Evie made a move to help him, but he simply shook his head.
"We need someone here to have a weapon at ready, just in case. It's a crowded game, dearie~ although that wouldn't stop us from simply getting sniped from a distance, just gotta hope for the best!" He purred happily. Evie rolled her eyes but took his advice, fastening her grip over her pistols.

Jack slowly led her back to the alleyways and navigated through them. Afraid to go straight into the immediate public, he meandered around the outskirts of isolation until he spotted an old couple carrying what he assumed was groceries. He approached them, still keeping Crystal close, and timidly spoke up. "Um... excuse me, my friend's had quite an accident... do you know where the nearest apothecary is?" He stammered.
"Oh, dear," mumbled the old canine woman. "That doesn't look like an accident..." She carefully explained the directions to the apothecary and then proceeded to explain, in detail, the direction to the nearest police department.
"T-thank you, ma'am," Jack said, as nicely as he could. He walked with Crystal to where she had told him and, once out of earshot of the strangers, exhaled sharply.

"Hi, Felix~" Jinx chirped, dipping behind the desk to search for some herbs. She popped back up and smiled at him. "Yeah, this is Willow. She's the best," she said briefly, noticing Yuzuki and smiling at his protectiveness.
