Welp, it's hard to explain this. Most of the time I give items to Pokémon I love dearly items that suit them the most from my perspective.
Maybe people do this to make their Pokémon more special, idk 🤷‍♀️ This is unexplainable imo.
As for whether you should do it or not, it's up to you. It's not necessary to give your Pokémon items except for evolving purposes, after all (^_^;)

Destiny knot is one of the items to increase Mega-able chance passively through transferring IVs, as perfect IV mons have higher chance of being Mega-able.

@00riot Mega-able chance stays the same, even if both parents are mega-able. There's no guarantee way to get a Mega-able as of now ^_^"

	There's no way to see exact IV stats, but you may notice some Pokémon have stars next to their stats. Those are indicators of perfect or almost prrfect IVs Silver star shows 29-30 IV while golden star shows 30 IV [Read more]
