Noticing him heading in the same direction as her, she felt a little flurry of pride that she was going to be in the same history class as someone as smart as him. While she was lacking in subjects like English and Biology, History was her wheelhouse, and she was quite advanced for her age. Deciding to pick a seat next to the resident bookworm, she flashed Elliot a smile as she scooted her box underneath her seat and pulled out a notebook and textbook for the class. This must be Elliot; she knew of him from some of her friends, but she'd never really met him. Charlie steadied the box in her arms and peeked at some of the titles, ranging from a little boring to downright brilliant (in her opinon). "What'cha reading? It must be good if you can carry that many books at once without so much as batting an eye," she said lightheartedly, discreetly keeping an eye out for anything Elliot might trip on. Relaxing slightly, he smiled a bit, remembering that Alex had been a year or two older than him in middle school, and was a familiar face to Drew. Maybe this year, he'd finally agree to snap some shots of the kid - if he could tone it down a couple of notches! Satisfied with the shot, he wondered whether there was a yearbook club at the school, or a photography club. It was a little nerve-wracking, he thought as he pushed open the door to gaze around at all of the students, to be starting high school, but he figured that anything couldn't be worse than the early years of middle school.
