The chain-chomp seemed incredibly irritated by the compliments. It squinted, letting out a confused snap of its jaws before doing the same to Ping. Ping tilted his head and threw it into the air, causing it to fade away.

“I learnt how to do that from a manga. The same friend used to read those so much when we were together.

Chompy doesn’t like me bringing him out all the time, which is probably why he’s grumpy. He… tends to be like that all the time, though.”

Ping grinned at the thought of his friend, only to have his smile slowly fade as reality set in. He shook his head, glancing at Valeria.

“A-Ah, my name is Ping!”

He bowed for a brief second.

“It’s a delight that our paths have crossed, and yeah, my friend… she loved things like these.”

He lifted his hand up, summoning a chain-chomp into his hands. It looked at his with a tired expression, seemingly annoyed that it had been teleported to Ping without notice.

A tall figure slowly opens the doors, seemingly anxious. They gingerly step in, their head tilting at the sight of the front desk. As they close the door, they exhale, stepping forward into the light.

The figure seemed to be snuggled in their hoodie, which was a darkish blue shade. There was a pink bow placed by their hoodie zip, and they had a long black tail which also had a bow near the top, seemingly placed there by someone close. They clutched their bag and moved closer to the desk, seemingly even more nervous.

“H…Hello. I… think this is the… um, ‘reeee-sorhtt’… ‘re…sorht’…”

He coughed.

“Resort… yes, resort…! I… heavily apologise about that messup…”

They moved their silver hair and pushed their right hand into their mouth before immediately pulling it out, seemingly remembering what they had wanted to say.

“This… place looks… nice. I… heard from a friend about this place, and they said that they had paid for my stay here.”

They looked at the lady. If they had eyes, they would’ve possibly been glittering.
