And Tina, yes...Pre-order it next time you're in there! You get an awesome poster. :D And I'm the type who is super paranoid about the game selling out before I can get a copy. When I was looking to buy Animal Crossing: New Leaf, I couldn't get it right away because the stores only got enough to cover the pre-orders. :C I'm so worried that the same will happen to Pokemon.

Yeah, I don't really understand the Sylveon craze, either. But I do love it a lot more than i did Glaceon and Leafeon, and I love the name more, too. I don't really know what a Fairy type is supposed to look like, but I do have to admit that Sylveon matches a lot more than Marill and Gardevoir. xD

Normally, I wait until I know all the version exclusives before I make my decision. But...I love Xerneas so much, haha.

I agree about Unova. It brought the awesome Zorua and Axew lines, but overall the designs were terrible. That's why I love Kalos so much. It looks like they got a lot of fresh new ideas - the Pokemon are based on animals, and not on random objects. It kind of has a gen 1 feel to it. :D

It would kill me if they did that xD Mostly because I normally choose my starter based on what it'll turn into. But it would make it more fun. :3

I've noticed that a lot of people have been saying that Quilladin might be more awesome than people are giving it credit for. They brought up a really good point...Shelgon and Pupitar were awkward "cocoon" stages, and ended up evolving into two of the most awesome Pokemon ever. Quilladin might be the same :D

I also like the idea of Braixen evolving into some kind of witch like people are predicting it will. Anything but Fire/Fighting, Nintendo. Anything. ;~;

	Ehh...I was hoping the second evolutions for the starters would be different, but I'll reserve total judgement until I see the final forms. still prefers Fennekin And I prefer Mewtwo X's form. Mewtwo Y has so much in its design that bugs me, while the only thing I don't like about X is its feet. Just...Gah. Still, the new Pokemon look great! 	Oh, I forgot about Fire > Grass. xD And Fire > Ice. And I think Grass > Water makes a little sense, since plants do absorb water. Ehh...I don't quite care for Mega Charizard. Ground > Electric and Electric > Water make sense, too. At least to me.

I remember the reason they gave in the anime as to why Electric-type attacks aren't that effective against Grass types...Or I think I do. When Ash's Pikachu went up against someone's Bellsprout, its thunderbolt went right through its opponent because it was firmly planted/rooted against the ground. The electricity ran right through to the ground, not harming Bellsprout. At the time it made sense to me and my six year-old brain...And it still does. xD But the games are a little different, so maybe that logic only appeals to the anime.

Don't forget that bubbles can actually cause damage, and no one bats an eyelash at someone having a Pokemon that's been extinct for millions of years. And, you know, there are fire-breathing, rock-throwing, poison-spitting creatures that should be killing everyone...but aren't.

In the end, it's just an anime/card game/video game. It needs no logic as long as it still entertains people. :3

But I still think it's hilarious that Jigglypuff can beat up Dragonite, now. xD;

What would your cutie mark be: Hmm...I'm not sure. Something to do with writing, I think. But that's so over-done, I'd have to add a creative spin on it.
What do you think of Twilight Sparkle becoming an Alicorn: Honestly, I'm not bothered by it. When I first heard of it, right around the time I started calling myself a brony, I was a little skeptical of the idea. Then I watched the episode and realized...It's no big deal. Was it a rash decision just to sell toys? Yes it was. But that's to be expected with Hasbro. Does it work? I think it does. If it didn't happen, I'd have to question why Twilight was personally taught by Celestia, instead of a "regular" Unicorn. Yeah, she has all that power...But isn't that what the school is there for? Gifted Unicorns? Plus, I liked how they played with it in EG, with her not quite used to the wings. It was pretty cute. All in all, what's done is done. At least we can take comfort in the knowledge that she won't be leaving her friends. :3

@tina1016: All the regions are individuals, so you don't really need to know Unova for Kalos. Same with the Pokemon, since I don't know gen 5 that well, either. With the first Black and White, the only Pokémon you could get in-game before beating it was gen 5 Pokémon. They changed this in Black and White 2, but they might do it again in X and Y. So, we might not even need to know anything about Unova Pokémon. xD

This year is going by so fast...That I just now realized that Pokemon X and Y's release date is only two months away! So, I thought I'd start a thread for it.

When gen six was announced, I felt kind of iffy about it, but I fell in love with all the starters. And, oh my goodness...Sylveon is gorgeous. I kind of forgot about it after that. Then, last week I checked out all the Pokemon that have been announced so far, and I can't contain how happy I am. I'll admit that the last two gens were let downs to me, for the most part, but I really love what I've seen of gen six.

Especially X's mascot Pokemon. *drools* I know what version I'm getting!

I'm also impressed that they chose a worldwide release date, instead of releasing the game over several months in different parts of the world. I think this means that I won't know the version exclusives if I want to buy it on the day it comes out, unless Nintendo tells us (which I'm not counting on) but that's okay.

Hurry up and get here, October!

I'd change legendaries to how I feel they should be, with only a handful of true legends. Not to mention, each would only be a one of a kind, like Mewtwo. I can't stand the idea that there are two Lugias, when only one should really exist, and it sounds like there are multiple Articunos, Zapdos, and Moltres in the Pokemon world (at least in the show).

I'd also like it if Pokemon could speak, like Team Rocket's Meowth can. I know that would take some of the fun out of it, but it would be cool. xD
