Rosie couldn’t sleep so instead, she read. At some point her vision clouded over and she was in her mind again. She spoke aloud (in her mind) about her worries and attempted to solve them. What would they do about splitting into groups for the realms? She didn’t know but she would leave that for the others. She stayed in her mind for a few more minutes and came back to the world to find herself crying. She quickly wiped her tears and decided she would step out and sit near some plants. They wouldn’t judge her. They wouldn’t care that she was crying but she didn’t know why. So she sat on a small wall near a flowering rose bush. It smelt nice. It felt nice. It looked nice. The sky was clear so she could see the stars. They reminded her of the Lavender Lady. She smiled and let her eyes fall shut. The scent of roses lulled her into a restful slumber.

Rosie entered her room, taking care to close the door quietly as she did. Her room was filled floor to c with book cases along two blank walls. The third wall which hosted the door have a vine curtain and a stand for her weapon. What she didn’t spot was that behind the vine curtain lay an image. If one looked closer at the image it was a family of elves. The fourth wall supported a bed with a vivid design of a rose on the sheets, a desk of oak with flowers carved and sanded across the surfaces. When Rosie looked closer, she saw a hidden drawer that, when opened, contained herbs, bottles and a book that seems to be on herbology and medicine. She closed the draw and traced the intricate design with her fingertip. On the desk sat a pen, some paper and a small vase of flowers. When she looked in the more obvious drawer, she spotted more supplies such as pens, rulers, pencils, erasers etc. Further along the wall was a dark oak wardrobe and drawers with purple flourishes decorating them. In the middle of the room sat a comfortable-looking rocking chair with a small coffee table. Below that was a pastel violet rug with darker outlines making it look like a rose. She stood straight again and decided to look at the books with a travelling ladder, halfway up the wall in the corner (that had been rounded off) was a human sized shelf covered in pillows. Rosie dragged the ladder over and sat on the shelf cautiously. When the shelf gave no sign of breaking, she snuggled into it further. She found a small speaker and she decided to play some music. She was a massive fan of merry-go-round of life so she had it playing not too loudly on repeat. Rosie stood back on the ladder to find a suitable book and once she had selected one, which happened to be a fantasy romance, she turned off the lights and turned on some fairy lights in the reading nook and read for heaven knows how long. She swayed to the music while she read, she was in another land, she loved the power of a good book. Rosie ended up sleeping in the corner, she didn’t mind though, it was comfortable.

Rosie blinked as she came back from her memories, she’d have to try harder not to get lost, she looked around and found herself sat next to The Lavender Lady. Rosie gave a soft smile “Hello, how are you Lavender Lady? I apologise for my disassociation. Did I miss much?” She thought for a moment and opened her mouth to say something but quickly closed it again when she found she had nothing to say. She watched as Bendy, Twayn, sobble and The Masked Mistress bickered among themselves. She let out a short chuckle at the Jackal ending up in a squabble himself. She looked around and smiled, they weren’t all friends and that’s fine as long as they get on. Although she hoped The Lavender Lady considered her a friend, she quickly dropped the idea so her hopes were not crushed when her ladyship eventually rejected her friendship.

Rosie observes their interactions carefully. She had come out of her room in decorated armour. The armour had rose vines surround them with enchantments from her hometown blacksmith incorporated into the design. The metal had a light purple hue while the undergarments were a lovely mint. Rosie often fought in a skirt but just for now, until she was comfortable, she decided to stick with trousers. She had heard the singing and found it enjoyable, it reminded her of something she had heard long ago although she brushed it off as blurred memories. She didn’t pay much attention to her room as she donned her armour and went to the meeting area, she would have time for that later. “Curious, Jackals are rare, no?” Rosie stepped forwards “Pardon for the intrusion. If you do not mind my asking, how come you guys joined?”

When she heard a door open, she turned and found every ready to leave and heading out so she stood and trailed after them while keeping an eye out for the different plants and mentally noting ones of interest.
